7-11-14 update *Prayers needed and appreciated

7-11 update:

We are still at the beach and bleeding. I thought we were starting to stop, but low and behold it's back this morning. Sarah's not in as much of pain but still dull cramps. I am an emotional basket case and can't stop crying. Google is bad! We were diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage. Aka blood clot between uterus wall and placenta. We were told its most common form of early preg. Bleeding and will probably resolve itself. Google is bad. I've read lots of horror stories. I just wish I could help S but I feel so helpless. Sadly enough I wish if something bad was going to happen that it would hurry up and happen and stop giving us false hope. This is horrible. We go back to our RE Monday and first Ob appointment it Tuesday.

Feeling very scared. Thank you all for talking to me. It's really all that's keeping me going.

We are on vacation in lovely Emerald Isle, NC. Today took a horrible turn of events. S and I were sitting in the pool. S got up and felt something and went to bathroom. Scary...big bleed. Get dressed and rush to the er. Worst er ever and 20 miles away! We were there from 2:00pm-8:30. I wasn't allowed to go in with her for ultrasound. Was told she would be back in 15-20 min. 2 hrs later!!!!! She comes back. In the mean time I'm bawling and scared. I ask upfront about her and they got snappy with me. I thought I was going to get kicked out!

She is 8w2d with twins. Heard 2 perfect heartbeats last week. They said 1 twin when trying to attach placenta attached to a blood vessel in the uterus and caused the bleed. Now all we can do is wait for it to stop. On top of all this, her right ovary is overstimulated and where they were pushing around and did a 2 hr vaginal ultrasound caused ovary pain And more bleeding. She is now in bed and sleeping but wakes up in extreme pain every so often. Super scared as this could lead to miscarriage and is incredibly hard to see her in such pain!

Thank you. Neither of us are sleeping. She wakes up every 20 min in extreme pain from ovary or running to bathroom.

I'm so sorry. We had a similar experience when I was 12w we had to rush to the ER. They wouldn't let L into the u/s with me - and this was in a very progressive place. It was awful.

I hope she is feeling better soon and you get good answers.

We had something similar with our singleton. A sub arachnoid bleed. It was one of the scariest times in our pregnancy. I'm so sorry that you weren't allowed to be with her. I thought with ACA same sex couples couldn't be kept apart from their spouses in hospital care matters. In any case I hope the bleeding stops soon. It's hard being away from home too.

Hang in there!  So sorry to hear what you guys are going through.  Can't imagine how scary that must be.  

A friend of mine is pregnant with twins and had a similar thing happen when she was 10weeks.  Bleeding is apparently common when carrying multiples.

Thanks for filling us in on what's going on, I know we all care very much.  I'm sorry that S is still in so much pain, but you're spot on in saying the google is bad.  Listen to your Dr and try to stay away from google (I know how hard it is).   Sending all my good energy your way!

There will always be horror stories but there are also lots of people with subchorionic hemorrhages who go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Hang in there!

Hey You All..

Sorry this has been such a bummer of a vacation...  I know it is hard when things seem so "up in the air", and I agree... Googling is terrible (but impossible, when you are just looking for comfort...) so don't beat yourself up too much, but try to avoid if at all possible.  We are really rooting for you, and hope that this will be the only bump in a road of an otherwise very boring pregnancy.

I had one too! My was discovered at 12w and we spent Thanksgiving Day in the hospital. It totally resolved itself. Aside from a few days after it happened, I had no bedrest/limitations and delivered 37w twins!

I'm on vacation and all that is around me is junk food! I go to bedroom to sit with Sarah and leave to cry. I go to kitchen and eat. I'm gonna have to bust my tail to loose vacation baby weight from being depressed. Now I'm feeling angry that this is happening to us after how long we've waited to get here. EVERYTIME she goes to bathroom to "bleed out" when she feels it coming I get mad and cry. It's not fair! I just want them and her to be ok!!!

@andstilltrying - I'm so sorry to hear that the bleeding hasn't resolved itself yet. This process of TTC and pregnancy is such an incredibly challenging path, even for those who have a fairly simple journey. For those of us who've struggled it's even more intense. For me after my loss I had such a hard time having hope, faith and joy in my pregnancy with Kaden. My mind was the greatest enmy of my heart. Taking small steps to find peace was what helped me through, sometimes one minute at a time. I told myself I knew the worst. Knowing it wasn't going to give me control on stopping the worst from happening. I took it really easy and adopted a few mantras that helped me remember my hope and let go of the outcome.
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hope this hurdle resolves itself soon and this becomes part of your pregnancy and birth story in 7ish months.

I can't say anything better than what jazibel just said, but want you to know that I'm thinking about you and Sarah and those two precious heartbeats. I know it's impossible not to worry.
