Diaper sprayer and poo question

We are close to starting solids and wondered when you know you have to spray off the poop instead of just tossing the diaper into the wash.

We are going to try BLW so he might not be actually eating much solid food for a while and I don't want to spray when I don't have to (laziness),

Do you just assume: solids are in his mouth, poo has to be sprayed?

You will know. Trust me one day you will look at it and just say "nope, not putting that in my washer". I don't spray, I dunk n swish. But DD is already plopable a good chunk of the time.

We just started solids this past weekend.  Oatmeal -- didn't notice anything in the diaper, so I just threw in the wash as normal.  Peas -- there were literally whole peas and pieces of the pea "husk" in the diaper, lol.  So yeah, I knew it was time.

This!  When it was questionable, I scraped, then gave in and bought a sprayer.
