Ugh...F U Cyst!!!

Well...had my baseline u/s and bw today and it looks like even after 2 months on bcp, this stubborn cyst is still here!!!

They are keeping me on the pill and have asked me to come back Thursday for a follow up.

Any experience with this!? I was set to start injects Thursday and now I'm wondering how delayed I might be :(

    Me: 32  DH: 33  Married: March 2004

    July 2006: started TTC
    2008: HSG (normal), couple rounds of clomid through gyno
    2008 - 2010: dragging my feet out of fear and procrastination
    October 2010: first consultation with RE, dx PCOS and fibroids (DH slightly low count/motility)
    Oct. 2010 - Dec. 2012:  In DENIAL! avoided the issue because I was scared of surgery
    January 2013: returned to RE, fibroids grew significantly
    February 2013: second HSG, fibroids pushed on tubes which blocked them somewhat
    March 2013: MRI to determine what type of surgery may be necessary
    July 29, 2013: fibroids (5) removed via robotic laparascopy
    August 2013 - Nov 2013 : benched due to recent surgery

    IUI #1, Dec. 24, 2013, BFN 
    IUI #2, Jan. 25, 2014, BFN
    IUI #3, Feb. 25, 2014  BFN
    IUI #4 canceled due to lack of response to letrozole
    IUI #4.1 April 28, 2014, BFN
    May 16, 2014: wtf consult, start prepping for IVF in June and add injects for one last IUI in the meantime
    IUI #5 started letrozole and bravelle but canceled after HSG led to new diagnosis
    May 21, 2014: third HSG, tubes blocked, one at the beginning, one hydrosalpinx??
    June 11, 2014: consult, approved to move on to IVF because the hydro is not completely blocked therefore allowing fluid to move through slowly rather than backwards
    IVF #1 August 8, 2014 - 3dt of 2 embryos, BFN
    September 17, 2014 - 4th HSG, the right tube is very patent (open!!) dye went straight through this time. Weird!
    October 2, 2014 - started metformin treatment
    November 14, 2014 - blood work, brought A1C down from 5.8 to 5.5
    November 26, 2014 - RE finally back from vaca and reviewed my chart, no more IVFs for rest of calendar year
    December 1, 2014 - Right after Thanksgiving, I called a new clinic and got in right away! Plan for IVF
    December 17, 2014 - ER! 29 retrieved (!!), 16 mature, all 16 fertilized (ICSI)
    IVF #2 December 20, 2014 - 3dt of 3 embryos, BFN

    We are done with treatment unsuccessfully. :(

    That sucks, I'm sorry :( Cysts are my cross to bear, too.

    Did they say what kind of cyst it was? I don't know how common this is, but my last RE was willing to aspirate certain cysts in order to get started with a cycle (assuming BCPs didn't work). 
    Me: 34 / DH: 33
    19-year history of endometriosis. Multiple surgeries and cyst removals. Forced directly into IVF due to blocked tubes and severe adhesions.
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #1 - Dec 2013 - Only 1 normal. Ended in CP
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #2, at CCRM - March 2014!
    14R, 12 ICSI'd, 11F, 6 for CCS, 5 healthy blasts frozen!
    Two 5BB blasts transferred 9/10; First beta 9/19: 109; second beta 9/22: 550!
    EDD: 5/29/15

    They didn't mention the kind. Was that painful!? After 2 months on bcp I'm getting a little impatient, not to mention as a teacher I really needed the summer schedule to work :(

    For better or worse, mine ruptured the day before it was scheduled to be taken out. That, of course, was miserable, but at least I saved like $1500. Cyst aspiration works exactly like an ER: they put you under, and stick a needle through your vag into the cyst and drain the fluid. Obviously, this only works on liquid-filled cysts, and again, I have no idea how common it is.

    I have cysts on born ovaries right now (1-2cm), but no one has mentioned that this could delay my IVF treatments. How big are your cysts? Mine seem to be mostly leftover from Clomid, which I used on my last cycle. I also have "probable endometrioma"" mostly in my right side (I have not had laparoscopy which would provide a more concrete diagnosis)

    Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

    We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).

    Also sorry your cysts are interfering with your treatment plans. Hopefully they clear up soon!

    We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).

    I had a cyst left over from a cancelled injectable IUI. It stayed for 3 months and went away after 10ish days of birth control however my gyn thinks it was just a coincidence and the BC didn't help at all. I was so happy it went away on its own because I am sure as you know, when they do surgery to remove cysts they cut out thousands of eggs. Can you ask if they can aspirate it? Also, I have seem that some ladies get a trigger shot to make a cysts pop. I think this depends on what type of cyst it is though. Acupuncture can also help your cyst go away if you haven't tried that .

    Oh no!  I'm so sorry.  I hope something can be done about it so that it doesn't delay you any further.

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    DX: MFI-Very Low Count, I have Hashimotos.
    IVF prep September 2013 cancelled due to Ovarian Cyst
    IVF #1 October 2013 Antagonistic Protocol with ICSI  ER 10/31/13 (18R 16M 11F- 6 blasts to freeze)
    ET delayed due to OHSS 
    FET scheduled for July 8. Delayed due to a crazy high TSH (it had been under control for YEARS!)
    FET #1 8/5/14 sET BFN

    My cycle right before IVF I went in for an us before starting stims and I had a cyst. I think it was close to 20mm. I was only on bcp for 1 month prior. My RE made me stay on bcp for 4 more days and come back for another us and it was gone. My RE didn't seem that concerned with it to begin with of course I cried the whole way home. He said he wanted to see if it was growing and producing anything because if it was I'd have to wait to stim but if it wasn't he'd go ahead and start stims. It did pushback everything for about a week. Hopefully next week it will be gone, FX!

    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!

    I'm so sorry.  I hope this does not cause a significant delay.  I was told I have a small cyst on my right ovary when I went for my trial embryo transfer.  RE said it wasn't enough to be concerned about, but enough to watch it.  I am suppose to go in for my baseline on the 17th, which will be 3 weeks of BCP.   I hope it doesn't cause a delay.
    Me 27 DH 29 Married since 2007, together since 2001
    Off BC since Febuary 2006 3 Clomid Cycles in 2008- symptomatic, US just showed a tilted uterus, otherwise normal, HSG normal.  DH has an ejaculatory duct obstruction and a congenital absence of the vas deferens.  This is common with cystic fibrosis carriers, but he doesn't have cystic fibrosis. IVF #1 with TESE/ICSI (Antagonist protocol) Aug 2014=BFN (poor embryo quality)   IVF #2 ICSI long lupron protocol November 2014

    Oh, girl.  I hear you on this.  Teachers aren't allowed to take time off because we get so many breaks.  Or at least that's how it feels when you do have to take time off.

    October 2013: Endo erosion/ Clear HSG

    March 2014: SA #1/  2%morph, borderline sperm count, decent motility

    June 2014: SA#2/  2% morph, low sperm count, worse motility

    Plan: "Quick Start IVF"/antagonist protocol with Follistim, Ganirelix, Ovidrel and progesterone suppositories (yay)

    High AMH (11) and Low BMI= low doses of everything to prevent OHSS

    July 27, 2014: Started Follistim injections for ten days

    July 31, 2014: U/S= 20 follicles, 8.5 lining, E2 is good, Ganirelix for 4 days starting 8/2

    August 4, 2014: 14 follicles on-track, good lining, Trigger 8/6

    I have actually been feeling discomfort off and on for about 2 weeks now, so I should have known it was still there. It's actually bothering me tonight.

    ((Hugs)) cysts here too!! Mine are hemorrhagic and seem to stay around...first IVF was delayed around 6wks, these I have currently are only a couple weeks so far. I hate cysts!! fX yours leave quickly!!

    2/14 through 3/14 benched with a cyst
    IVF#1 CD1 came before beta. BFN. No frosties.
    Benched with cysts...
    IVF#2 beta moved up due to heavy bleeding 6dp5dt...beta was 11. beta#2 20.4! Beta#3 28 Chemical pregnancy :(
    Currently on BCPs with cysts, planning IVF#3 Everyone welcome!

    Just wanted to say I had cysts from my recent Ivf cycle and I went to acupuncture. My acupuncturist did some points that sent good blood flow to my ovaries. The cysts are gone and its only been about 2 weeks since my failed cycle.

    Thanks for sharing ladies.  It was nice to hear the different scenarios, and I'm just going to hope for the best one!!  I know there isn't anything I can really do to change things, but I'm hoping we aren't too delayed.
