Trying to Get Pregnant

Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine) + BBT

I get nasty tension headaches and my doctor has given me a prescription for 10 mg Flexeril/Cyclobenzaprine muscle relaxer for when they're bad and OTC pain meds aren't helping.  I don't have to take it often, but I think I'm starting to notice that the day after taking it, my BBT drops drastically, just for one day.  I usually take it at night since it knocks me out.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this as well or if it's just a coincidence of timing.  A brief google search didn't really turn anything up.

Re: Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine) + BBT

  • When I take meds that knock me out my temp tended to be lower just because I was actually sleeping for more than 5 minutes at a time. Could be that if you aren't normally a solid sleeper. But I agree with Cle. Just mark it on your chart.

  • I didn't think about it possibly being because I'm just sleeping better. I'm usually a light sleeper, so that might be it. Either way, it's made FF think I ovulated on the 4th and I'm nearly positive I haven't yet. If I discard the temp, FF agrees with me. I guess I'll wait it out a few more days to figure things out. Thanks for the insight, y'all.
  • I used to be on flexeril for my back spasms and my temps weren't any different than if I didn't take it. As PP have mentioned, it could be due to the amount of sleep you get. Flexeril makes you sleepy, so it could be knocking you out when you take it, which could be why you're seeing a difference in temps. I was taking it 3x/day at the same times every day, so my charts were pretty consistent.
