Power out/BM?

My power has been out since 11:55 EST. It's currently 3:57. DH had to open fridge for fresh milk, but has not opened freezer. How long will my stash last before it thaws out too much? I'm getting anxious about my frozen milk because I'm starting to dry up, and I have enough in freezer to last her awhile. I will cry if it all thaws out.

keep the freezer closed. how warm is it outside? if you keep it closed, it should be okay.. as long as you still have frozen crystals left in it, you can re-freeze. hope your power comes back soon! can you transport your stash anywhere that has power?

It's low 80's now. I have a small amount in the freezer and a big amount in the deep freezer. I asked a coworker to stash some. I'm really hoping the power comes back on soon! Thanks, ladies!

According to the USDA, “a full freezer will hold the temperature for approximately 48 hours (24 hours if it is half full) if the door remains closed.”
