Baby always wakes from nap and night time crying!

My daughter over the past couple of weeks always wakes from her mid-fay nap and in morning time CRYING!  If I don't go to her right away she does calm down (typically) but I don't know if this is normal or not. She is 16 months.

Anyone else? 

Weeks before this she would just sit in her crib and play happily.

It's a phase but I always believe it has to do with being overtired. Usually do to too many days off routine, a missed nap, illness, whatever.  So I put my LO to bed early for a few days and it stops.

My daughter has a schedule that we 95% time keep to; she too will also go back to sleep if i hold her for 2 - 3 minutes (if she wakes in the middle of the  night)

dThis.  DD cried every morning and nap until she was probably 2.5  DS does it occasionally.

Have you tried telling her to call for you when she wakes? Maybe she thinks crying is the only way to get you to come for her when nap time is over.
