Not heat rash- hand, foot, and mouth

So what we though was a heat rash is actually hand, food, and mouth disease. LO had a low temp yesterday and this morning, so I decided to bring her in to get checked and he was able to see the sores in her mouth. Luckily, she is in pretty good spirits. She was around a ton of babies Saturday, so I felt bad contacting all the parents to tell them to be on the lookout. Hopefully she didn't pass it on to anyone else.

Not sure where you live but there has been an outbreak lately in our area. What treatment did your doctor suggest?

We are in MA. Haven't heard of anyone else at daycare having it, but we've been around so many kids lately with all the BBQs so who knows. The pedi said Tylenol/Motrin for fever and discomfort, otherwise just wait it out.

There's a huge outbreak of it in my area as well right now. Hope she feels better soon! Did the doctor say how long it should take to run it's course?

He said the rash and fevers off and on for a week probably.

DS' daycare had an outbreak last week, there has been a huge outbreak the last few weeks around here.
