Nanny Help Needed!

Hello everyone!  Need some suggestions finding Nanny help.   Baby #4 will be here 9/9 and we will then have 4 kids under 3!   (Yes, we were blessed with twins just 13-months ago!)   I have ads posted on Care and Sittercity and we're paying a great rate... $20/hour to HELP ME..... not to watch all 4, so I think that's pretty fair.   Not having huge success finding qualified people.   Any ideas?   I've used Nanny Poppinz before and was not impressed.   :(

Wow that is a great rate! When I was in college parents would contact the education/child development departments to see if they could post job ads. Parents loved it because they knew they would find someone who had an interest in teaching and caring for children. It was a great way for us students to find jobs, too. Maybe you could try contacting some schools? I used care.com and sittercity a lot, so I'm surprised you haven't been able to find anyone through those sites. Good luck with your search!

  • Check out East Wind Nannies.  Amy who runs it is a great person.
  • Contact your local red cross or ymca. Both offer babysitting classes and would probably have a list of good sitters/nannies.
