What is making you smile this morning? Any great Independence Day memories made this weekend?

I am smiling b/c my friend's baby went home from the NICU yesterday! I guess DS overheard me telling DH about it b/c when I was singing to him later, he wanted me to sing a song about that baby. It was really cute!

I'm also smiling b/c DS and I were fluttering our eyelashes together yesterday and he called it "butterfly eyes" instead of kisses. Love this kid!!

DS is just too cute sometimes. I guess he tries to make up for the screaming he does. He will take a phone (real or toy) put it to his ear, and start talking. He even keeps saying something that kinda sounds like hello. Yesterday he was doing this while following DH around when he was on the phone. DS also managed to pull the hose all the way to a dead spot of grass to "water" it. He will run after his soft baseball after DH hits it to him. And DS seems to like his new bike trailer.

Imms that I have only a week and a half left until I'm finished my degree.

Imms that I am picking up my Tula tomorrow!! So excited

aww…M does this too and he is definitely saying "hello!?" in his sweet baby voice

IMMS that yesterday we went to Buy Buy Baby (or is it Bed Bath and Beyond) and M was super sweet, walking and running all over the place. 

Also, mh had no problem picking stuff out for M and deciding we were going to buy it.  So often when we shop…for anything…he's a buzzkill because he worries so much about how much it'll cost. With M, though, it's so different. He doesn't question the price of things at all-it goes into the basket because M needs it.  It's nice relief

It also MMS that M laughs whenever he hears other people laughing.  It's really sweet

IMMS that even though my family left going home yesterday, we get to see them again this weekend (this is rare since they live 10 hours away.)

IMMS that we had a really nice 3 day weekend together as a family! We got a shelf built, the house cleaned because we had friends over , the basement cleaned and spiders killed!

It doesn't MMS that my husband's boss (and my old boss) is in the ICU -- in a very critical point. Family and friends are banding together in prayer though and that's pretty amazing to see.

We also had a productive, yet relaxing 3-day weekend! We're having a party at our house for P's first birthday, so we cleaned and de-cluttered; unpacking boxes that have been untouched in our basement since we moved in 2 months ago. We also bought a patio gazebo, which I'm pretty excited about.

Oh YEAH... and DS is walking!!! It's so freaking adorable.

I think you need an award for this one.  I can't even do this with only 2 kids.

It makes me smile that I got the kids ready, to daycare, got the car in for maintenance, and got to work only an hour late.

Plus my outfit actually matches and is clean.

The baby has been smiling so much lately and it's just adorable. Yesterday, while the whole family just happened to be in the room, we all got to see and hear his first laugh!

IMMS that we had a good weekend racing even though it was hard to keep L from crawling on the bird poop covered pavement.  L loved all of the dogs at the race and would point every one out to me as we walked around.  Also, we are finally back in CDs because the acidic poo is gone.  

Unfortunately, the only thing making me smile this morning is my mocha because we had another hard drop-off at daycare.  I was hoping that the separation anxiety would go away with the ear infection

AFM I'm smiling that we also had a really nice relaxing weekend as a family. We got the last of our errends run for SBIL's wedding next weekend. Other than that we just hung out as a family and ate too much!!

I tried Kefir this weekend.  I actually like it.

The part that makes me smile, is that I got my husband to try it, and he actually enjoyed it.

IMMS that I have not yet had a mental breakdown since being home (of course, J goes back to work tomorrow, so talk to me again then) with the exception of a mean Mama moment that involved a two year old not napping...

Anyway, it also makes me smile that every time I go to check on a sleeping G2, I find new "presents" (fluffy balls, rubber duckies, cars...) that G1 has given her (yeah, we'll need to break this habit when she gets big enough to grab things and choke on them, but for now it's pretty sweet).

IMMS that the body shop basically did $1500 worth of repairs to my van for free!

They didn't actually fix the dent, but they fixed the sliding door so it opens again, and buffed out all the paint and scratches so the dent isn't noticeable. My uncle's family owns the shop, and they usually give us a discount, but this was awesome! I thought they were going to have to actually fix the dent/probably replace the whole panel in order for the door to work, but the guy fixed it in about 2 minutes, and then had my 16 y/o cousin who is working there for the summer do the buffing.
