Phantom Smells - Is this a thing?

Maybe I'm going crazy, but last month I smelled pee all the time. My husband told me I was crazy and no one else could smell it but me. The last few days it's been throw up. I know pregnant women are sensitive to smells, but apparently I'm smelling things that aren't even there. Throw up. Really??  Why can't it be something like dryer sheets or freshly cut grass??

My dogs were sprayed by a skunk 6 weeks ago and no one else can smell any lingering smells. Sometimes I walk into a room, and a specific area smells SO strong to me, especially if it rains. So, yes, I do agree heightened sense of smell is a lousy perk of pregnancy!

Definitely a thing! I swore my freezer was broken because I could smell a rubbing alcohol type thing. Everybody told me to check the freon because it could be bad... When DH got home he checked it, and there was nothing wrong. I could smell some drink that had spilled a little months ago! I get everybody that comes over to smell it... They all think I'm crazy!

I smell cat litter everywhere. We keep our litter in the basement so there's no reason whatsoever that I should be smelling it in the kitchen or bedroom. DH swears it doesn't smell but idk.....

Okay so this is totally gross but yesterday I SWORE something on my clothes smelled like semen. Specifically semen. I kept getting whiffs of it all day at work and was convinced maybe my dear husband had mistaken my leggings for a towel or something? I was ready to give him a piece of my mind when I got home, but as I stripped piece by piece, I couldn't find the smell. It was nowhere to be found!

I asked him anyways. He started hysterically laughing and said the only thing that's had semen on it in weeks is ehm, me.

I will never live this down.

Almost everyday at work I swear there is a terrible smell coming from the break room down the hall from my office. It smells like someone microwaved tuna fish. No one else smells it but it makes me sick!

That might have been bleach you were smelling... Semen smells like bleach
