Good Morning.

How is your/your partner's TTC journey progressing. Please update us on where you're at in the process.

***Reminder - Please do not post a BFP here. Please create a new thread for everyone to see. Thank you***

QOTW: What's coming up in your life that you're looking forward to?

Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

 ****All Welcome!****

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Re: TTC Check In (7/7/14)

  • I am on day 4 of stims today. The first three days went just fine. The needle for the hcg is not nearly as sharp as the Gonal-F needle. I had blood work only this morning. The nurse called a little while ago and said that I will continue with 300 iu Gonal-F and 10 units hcg for tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. We go back Thursday for u/s and blood work.

I think I am starting to feel activity in my ovaries. I'm still in disbelief that this is all happening. I suppose probably partially because so far it isn't a whole lot different than my inject IUI cycles. The side effects have been pretty minimal so far.

QOTW: Thursday morning after my appointment we are heading to NYC for Aerosmith and some time in the city. I have been waiting for this since April! It looks like it all will work just fine with me not being able to be at the RE's office on Friday. I have been really anxious about that. Now I just have to plan to keep all my meds cold on the way out and back. I won't know what my next set of instructions will be until we are already on the road, so I need to take Gonal-F, Ganirelix, my diluted hcg, my antibiotic (in case ER is Saturday) and Ovidrel. Then I need to make sure I have whatever I need on me while we walk about NYC on Friday and hope that I can administer whatever I need on Thursday before the concert. This shall be interesting. I'm also thinking I may not be so comfy walking around by Friday, but I'm not going to miss out on a day in the city.

  • @CrazyAunt84 - Thank you!  We are really hoping that this will be it for us.  Who knows what is in store though...I've come to learn not to think this is going to be easy in any way.

Our check in has gotten much smaller.  Maybe some of the folks who lurk would be encouraged to join us?  Please feel free to join if you're reading this.  Just post an intro thread and get started!

@TwoMomsInTX - It may not feel like it now, but the time will fly.  I keep taking it just one day at a time and things are moving along.  Even the three weeks of BCPs didn't seem as long as I thought it was going to be.

  • Hi there!
I've been lurking on the board for about 3 years just kind of reading people's stories, but I thought I would post because I (we?) had my first IUI today :) I'm a bundle of emotions right now, kind of going back and forth between being scared and excited. Scared that I might actually get a BFP and also scared that I might get a BFN too. Who knows! Anyway, happy to find a group of ladies that are in the same boat!

QOTW: I'm starting a new job with Microsoft in a few weeks, my first long term job since we made the trek across the country 8 months ago! and we have some friends coming to stay as well, and I haven't seen them in ages, so that'll be fun.

Okay, well ... you guys threw the offer out there ...

So we are definitely NOT decided on whether we will TTC again, but I didn't think it would hurt to start those wheels turning just in case.  So I would love to jump into this group if you'll have me.

It seems like it was SO long ago that we were TTC the first time, and honestly I've blocked so much of that stuff out.  It'll take me a while to get back up to speed.

    Here's our sitch/re-intro:
We currently have 1 kiddo (Gabe).  He is 15 months.  I've been breastfeeding since he was born and only just stopped pumping about 2 weeks ago.  I have yet to start cycling again, but I have felt a lot of "Stuff" going on in there since I stopped the pumping and I feel like I'll get AF in a few weeks.

Once I start cycling, I will start temping again and use OPKs to get an idea of what's going on.  I actually had to order a new thermometer because I lost the one I used before!  IF I start getting my period and IF we decided to move forward, we will need to wait until at least September before we start actively TTC because my MW clinic requires at least 18 months from birth to conception if we want to attempt a VBAC.  But that's getting way ahead of myself.

So here I am to cheer you all on, and try to scrape up any pieces of information I can as we make our decisions.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I'm AMA like whoa.  So that's it's own whole added stress and fresh piece of hell.

QOTW: I'm really looking forward to visiting my family in late August.  While I'm terrified of the plane ride given our experience last weekend (and I'll have to do this trip solo with the kid, S has to work), I just absolutely can't WAIT to have an entire week off.  And I do LOVE the amount of joy my family gets from having little G around.

So everything go sorted out with the ultrasound and all that.  We had our follicle tracking ultrasound Monday morning.  And now I’m waiting until midnight so I can do my trigger shot.  We will be doing our first IUI on Friday at noon.
