Capretti Umbria Cribs

Hello Everyone!

My husband and I are expecting our 1st child in early November. My in-laws have generously offered to purchase us a crib and double dresser from Direct Buy. After looking at the product lines that they sell we decided that we really like the Capretti line in the Umbria design. The only problem is that the website does a very poor job of showing the different finishes. I have called many local baby furniture stores and many stores no longer carry this line or they don't have a sample in store. I really like darker woods without a lot of grain detailing so I am nervous about the look of the different finishes. If anyone has the Umbria crib could you please let me know what finish you have and if you have any pictures I would greatly appreciate it! I am very nervous to order the product because all sales are final through Direct Buy. Thank you for any insight that you might be able to share with me. : )

I have this crib in two different finishes! I will post pics of both during nap time. One is espresso and one is snow drift. It is by far the heaviest crib I have ever seen. It is SOLID. If you get a teething cover, there is absolutely no reason why this crib can't last until your child is 18 ( as a full bed of course). We also have a nightstand and dresser. The dresser has the quiet close drawers and is also very well made. You will be happy with this purchase!

I don't have the Umbria but we have the milano in espresso. It's a very dark chocolate with a tiny hint of red but no wood grain. Love the brand but hope you have a lot of help to move it because it's very heavy wood.

I have this crib in cherry- it's very dark and matches most dark espresso finishes as well. Has held up well and we are happy with it.
