LO got heat rash for the first time yesterday and still has it today. She's not at all bothered by it, but nothing much we can do but keep her cool and dry and stay away from lotions. We are supposed to be going to a BBQ today, but now I'm debating it. I think it would be fine if I skip the sunscreen and just make sure she is in the shade all day, but I'm not sure. Would you go?
If you are totally in the dark about heat rash like I was until yesterday, it's caused by pores clogging when babies sweat, and is made worse by lotions and sunscreens. I have a very sweaty baby so it makes sense! I just thought it was caused simply by the baby being too warm.
