@Amybunny30--that sucks!  I'm sorry your H has been messing with your plans.  I've used gardening as my outlet, and it really helps!  Can't you claim even a small corner of your yard for your English garden?  You don't have to do it all planned and all at once--mine has been a total work in progress. I add a new plant or two every couple of weeks when I find something nice for sale at the garden center.

PS  I think kids would find a beautiful garden enchanting!  I used to use flowers and seeds and nuts to make fairy scenes in my grandparents' yard.

  • @Amybunny30‌ I love the English garden look with lots of nooks and crannies for sitting with a cup of tea! I'm sorry your husband doesn't agree, maybe a compromise like @sfazar‌ suggested- like you get half the yard and he gets to keep the other half open? Keep working on him- I know my husband needs time to process things and then when he sees how much something means to me he usually comes around.

I'd also like to add my weekend TP in for my husband's cousin. We were at a family thing last night and she made a point to come over as tell us how we are waiting too long to have kids and how she wants more babies in the family. A TP would have been the nice choice considering that I felt like full on throttling her in that moment.
  • Aw, @Amybunny30‌ sorry :( Tell him there will still be room to run around (and less mowing!).

  • My neighbors directly across the street just had a baby. So now I am greeted by a GIGANTIC stork proudly displaying it's a boy every time I leave or return to my house.

Grieving is hard enough. My house is the only place I feel calm and I feel like part of that's been taken away.

Ugh. Hooray for them but boo for me.

I am so sorry your husband's cousin was so inconsiderate. People are dumb. They think babies just fall out of the sky. It's not as easy as "whoops" for so many people.

@daffodil428‌ (((hugs))) my neighbor across the street had a baby about the time of my first edd. It's a painful reminder every time I see them, which is where I just came from. Hopefully that stork comes down soon!

@Km380‌ Didn't ruin my whole day just an hour or two. She seriously sucks sometimes though.

@Fightersince83‌ sorry you husband was being so dense! My DH is awesome but sometimes he so does not get that "I'll tell you later" means I don't want to discuss whatever in public. Like I don't want to explain in front of other customers that we need to leave Best Buy bc I'm having stomach issues..

@daffodil428‌ boo to that stork!! Congrats to them and all but oy what a miz thing for you to have to see daily. Can we steal it for you? Is that wrong?

Edited- posted before done. Damn iPhone.
  • @bmblebea‌ hahaha! That's better than my first thought of wanting to egg it. Luckily I'm leaving to visit family for a week today so I won't have to see it. It better be gone when I get home. Them things are expensive to rent.
