And here I thought sleep begets sleep. Definitely not the case in my house tonight. So. Tired.
I know... I want to nod off but every time I do, Kellan starts fussing. And DH is over there snoozing away, doesn't even budge when a baby cries. And any time I bring up that it's not fair that I'm the one who stays up all night when we are FFing (so he could if he would) he gets all pissy and defensive.
Oh, I'm with you on the sleeping husband.  Mine claims he doesn't hear D crying, but I call BS.  I was so annoyed the other night as he slept peacefully while I paced the house with a crying baby, that I may or may not have thrown his pillow on the floor.

  • C is two and DH STILL has to use the baby monitor on super loud if he gets left alone with her because he won't hear her yell...and she's not quiet!  The only time he wakes up without it is if they are in the same room.  It's insane.  He sure as shit doesn't hear the baby.

@CJnKR2014, when we had C I ended up EPing, which meant bottles in the middle of the night.  We were both working full time.  I asked him to pick a night mid-week that he could take so I'd be assured of at least one night of decent sleep, even if I had to wake him up to get up with her.  His response?  "Why should we both be exhausted?"  Cue a week of screaming matches that also showed me he thought his job was more important and more difficult than mine.  Men are such idiots.

  • Add me to the list of those with a DH who doesn't hear the baby. We have Stella in the PnP next to our bed and this morning when she woke up around 7am, DH goes, "Wow! She must be hungry... she slept for like 8 hours!" Uh, no. I was up with her at 2:30am when she needed a poopy diaper changed and a bottle. He seriously looked so confused because he had no idea she'd woken up, let alone that I had been up and out of bed taking care of her.

  • I'm sorry to all you ladies dealing with your DH's who don't "hear" or take care of the baby in the MOTN. My DH was really bad about it with our first 2 kids... And with this one he still doesn't get up during the night but he'll at least take care of our older 2 on the rare occasion that they wake up or he'll get up early with the baby on his day off.

I really shouldn't complain. He does do a ton around the house since I'm pretty much always nursing or trying to keep D happy. And he is wonderful with C and keeps him entertained. I'm just so tired and in the middle of the night when I'm up and he's sleeping, none of those things seem to matter!
