Car seat placement

So my husband wants me to start driving his truck instead of my car and the car seat can not be placed anywhere but the back center and of course rear facing still. Where are your car seats placed in your vehicle? In my car I moved him to the side in the back and still rear facing.

DD is rear facing on the passenger side. DH is tall and has the seat back so far when he drives that the seat will not fit behind him or in the middle. Once LO arrives and we move dd to forward facing, she will go behind the driver.

The middle and rear facing is the best and safest option! DS is behind the driver just because middle doesn't work in the car.

Rear facing behind the passenger seat in my car and rear facing behind the driver's seat in DH's car. She was behind the driver's seat in my car too but we have been having to park on the street in the city more and I don't want to get her out on the side of traffic. She was never installed in the middle bc our middle seat is slightly humped and we couldn't get a good install.

Well, I already have 2 kiddos, so it changes things.  DS#1 is FF behind the passenger, DS#2 is RF behind the driver.  Middle wasn't an option for us because our van has 2 captains chairs in the middle row.  Once DS#3 gets here, both older boys will be in the back row and I'll leave one of the captain's chairs empty in case someone needs to ride in the back or I need to nurse.  DS#3 will be behind the driver's seat.

If I only had one kid they'd be in the middle, but as it is we have dd rfing behind the passenger and ds's booster behind the driver.
