IVF Cycle #1 has officially started

I can't believe we actually found a way to pay for it, but we are starting stims tonight!!! I'm very excited but trying to stay calm because I know how unlikely it is for the first IVF cycle to work. But, I do have a lot of faith in my doctors and nurses and G-d. Thinking of starting a blog. Ideas? Suggestions?

Me: 40, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s, low ovarian reserve

DH: 42, bi-lateral varicocele (corrected in Dec 2013)

2008 Married

2009 Started TTC #1

2012 Hormone studies/ultrasound, HSG, Clomid

BFP ended in MC 

2013 3 rounds of Clomid

Hormone studies/ultrasound, SIS, polyp and bicornuate uterus removed

DH varicocelectomy

2014 Hormone studies/ultrasound, HSG, SIS, removed 2nd polyp

IVF #1- retrieved 17, 3 mature for 2 day transfer, BFN

IVF #2- September…our last chance….. retrieved 22, 6 mature blasts, 2 embies transferred, BFP (300 beta) on Oct 1st, Beta #2 675 Oct 3rd, Beta #3 2,484

1/30/2015 PPROM at 21 weeks, 3 days. Hospital bed rest to let these sweet peas cook. Holding on for 34 weeks!

    That is super exciting.  There are a fair amount of posters who have blogs and some have links in their siggies.  It isn't really my thing but for some it is a great outlet.  Good luck on your cycle and keep us updated!

    Good luck!!! I just finished IVF#1 and we did a freeze all for PGD testing and were doing a FET next months with our 3 genetically normal embryos.

    Good luck, we always celebrate each small step in the process, starting stims, trigger, ER, ET, I also use a countdown clock on my phone, it is fun to see how many days to expected, ER and ET, first beta, u/s.  Wishing you the best!

    October 2014: IUI #3.  More Follistim + More Ganirelix + Pregnyl + Crinone.  4 follicles--BFP!  Beta #1=10 Beta #2=33 Beta #3=97 Beta #4=158.  M/C 11/1/14
    December 2014: IVF #1.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  9R, 9M, 9F.  3 5-day blasts transferred 12/15. BFFN.
    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    I just figured out how to find all of your kind replies. Thank you for your thoughtful words. Wow! It was a LONG cycle, learned a lot, and felt very heartbroken on the beta test day with a BFN. But, we are starting BCP's again in two days and gearing up for a fresh cycle in September. 

    Now if I could just figure out how to make my signature a little simpler and visually appealing...

    Sorry the first cycle didn't work.  Glad you get another shot.  FX for September's cycle.

    Ice the area before you inject and it helps a lot!
    Request a butterfly needle if you bruise easy with your (daily) blood draws. I started to look like a heroine addict until I figured this part out.
