Re: hi

  • I've only had the usual two ultrasounds… But yeah. My 20 week ultrasound my baby measured 4 ounces heavier than she was supposed to be. They couldn't determine the exact length because of how she was folded in half, but her weight determined she was a week ahead, yet her due date remained the same.

I'm 6 feet tall, and so is her dad. So I think part of it is due to the fact that she has the ability to grow bigger in my longer torso, she has our tall genetics, and I have a very healthy appetite. I don't see why there should be concern.

  • A growth spurt is normal, but keep in mind that as your pregnancy progresses, ultrasounds become less accurate at determining the size of your baby. As you approach your due date, your u/s tech may be off by multiple pounds when trying to determine the weight of your baby. I wouldn't worry about it too much. At my a/s at 18w, the u/s tech said that measuring within two weeks of your due date is fine, so if your baby was only measuring a week ahead, it's not a big deal at all.

  • Ultrasounds are not 100% accurate. All babies are individuals and grow at their own rates.
  • ? The answers seem fine nothing even remotely snarky or anything one would get upset by. Why the DD?
