For those who saw floaters...QUICK UPDATE

So I only a saw floaters for a few seconds after lunch (maybe 30?), and haven't since. I've been drinking a lot of water just in case...

For those who've seen them:

1. When did you call the doctor? Had you seen them for a while?
2. Did you actually have pre-e?
3. Were they coupled with other symptoms?

Both of my feet were pretty well swollen last night, but i don't have any discernable swelling now.

I'm hoping that I can just chalk it up to eating salty potato chips with lunch and not that it is something to call my doctor about on my holiday...

UPDATE

HEY ladies :)

I went this morning to get my BP checked. The minute clinic was closed early yesterday, and there's no urgent care within 20 minutes believe it or not :(

Walgreens were a-holes. They don't do BP checks without giving a full on physical. So I went down the street and the CVS had a machine. It showed that my BP was low (traditionally, I have low BP), so I figured even if it wasn't calibrated totally that i was fine. I'm calling the doctor first thing Monday just to let them know.

Thanks for the advice - it's good to know other symptoms too, so that I can watch out for them.

I've been seeing floaters for a few months now and don't have pre-e. That being said, it wouldn't hurt to check your BP and call your doctor. Better safe than sorry!

I had an awful headache for two days. Woke up yesterday to blurry vision and seeing floaters in my right eye. The floaters and vision cleared, but head was still killing me. I called my doc, because my BP has been borderline for a couple months now. At his office yesterday, it was 138/94. Not awful, but he did blood work and decided I'm done working. We're going to keep an eye on it, but otherwise I'm just supposed to rest, take it easy.

(He says it's pregnancy induced hypertension. I guess one step before pre-e? I'm 36+4, so getting very close to delivery anyway)

Pregnancy can cause changes in your vision period. Make sure your BP is ok, but I've seen floaters this pregnancy (none with my 1st) and I'm not swollen nor do I have a high BP. I know shortly after I had DS1 I had an eye exam and he stated that during pregnancy and for about 6 mos afterwards you can notice changes in your vision. Keep us posted!

I'd go take your BP. I take mine a couple times a day with a machine I bought a few years ago when it was high. Mine is caused by gaining weight but at my last appointment pregnancy induced hypertension was also mentioned.

Better safe than sorry. If it's more than 140/90 I'd call!

Glad you're getting your BP checked at Walgreens! I saw floaters on one occasion around 26-27 weeks, can't remember exactly. I happened to have an OB appt already scheduled that afternoon, so I didn't call, but would have. Around that time was when my BP started slowly climbing and the swelling started as well. I did end up with pre e but not diagnosed until 36 weeks and then immediate induction. But I never had floaters after that one time. Pre e is weird and unpredictable. Not trying to scare you, just my experience. I would definitely mention in to OB even if your BP is within normal. It's likely nothing if you're not experiencing any other symptoms, but better safe than sorry.

I had pre-e with dd and had no floaters and have had floaters with this pregnancy and no pre-e. My ob said vision changes are a normal part of pregnancy and as long as it's not coupled with other pre-e symptoms it's probably nothing.
