stokke sleepi system

I know there are old threads out there on this topic, but didn't want to bump up a thread from 2 years ago so i'm starting my own.

Does anyone have the stokke sleepi system and an older child?  I was curious as to whether the toddler bed/daybed is actually comfy for them, and how long your LO slept in it.

Also interested in hearing if anyone has converted the changing table into a desk and likes it...

I would never be able to afford the retail price, but I found an amazing deal from a local (a grandma) for the crib and all conversion pieces, bumpers, sheets, etc. both size mattresses and the changing table/pad/drawers for $500.  And it's in awesome condition.

DH thinks it's still ridiculous, but the crib we have from DD has been recalled (and has a bigger footprint that might not work for our small bedrooms) and i like the idea of being able to wheel baby into our room when he/she is sick, etc.  Plus i think they are adorable, and we don't need to buy many of the 'major' items for baby # 2 as we went gender neutral with our major gear for my daughter.

Thanks for any opinions you have to share!!

Re: stokke sleepi system

  • I love love love ours. We used it as the Mini and as a crib so far. My daughter is 2.5 and we will take the side off soon to make it into the toddler bed. It is incredibly sturdy and well-made. I got ours on CL and am so glad we did.

  • We are really excited about the sleepi system. We aren't due until April so we haven't ordered it yet. Anything made in Europe meets higher safety standards and higher sustainability standards. Which are both really good reasons. Also this system came out in I think 2009 and is both still going strong and hasn't had problems with recalls or anything, really good signs in my book. The manufactures warrantee doesn't directly do you any good but the fact that it had a SEVEN YEAR warranty definitely tells you something about how much faith Stokke has in thier products. For all the research I have done I can't find any reason not to get the sleepi and at $500 for the system your bringing an awesome deal.
