Congrats! Mine are 18.5 months apart. It's awesome. My girls LOVE each other so much and luckily, my oldest DD showed very little jealousy. It's a lot of work getting in and out of the house but it's doable. It's great bc they both nap at the same time so every afternoon I get a 2 hr break. Sure some nights are exhausting when the older one had a bad night and the younger one wakes up for whatever reason but those bad nights didn't happen that often. And I hit to reuse sooo much stuff. They even play with Some of the same toys now. Enjoy!
@michelle7482 2 hour nap! That sounds amazing! I'm hoping I have another boy so we can reuse a lot. Although it would be nice to have one of each! The only thing that stinks is this will be a winter baby so the clothes wont really work
Thanks everyone! I was/am still nursing but a supply drop was the only clue I had to this little surprise! Went to the ob yesterday and found out we are around 5-6 weeks, but no due date until she can get a better reading at the 8 week ultrasound

I thought the same thing bc Mine are opposite seasons too but DD1 is petite and DD2 is a chunker so DD2 has been able to wear a lot of the DD1 clothes. It's worked out well for us so you never know!
I've now done 2u2 twice. It's amazing and I absolutely love it! I am sad that we will (most likely) never get to do it again.
J. is 18 months older than A., and she is 18 months older than S.
Like a pp, my life revolves around getting naps to coincide so I get a break (I am a SAHM). For me, that's huge. Days when there is no break are hard. However, I know other 2u2 moms who try to make sure naps don't overlap. They like having one-on-one time with each kiddo. So, like everything else, you will find what works for you.
If you didn't don't BW, I highly recommend looking into it for this next LO. I love a mei tai for the NB stage and our Boba for when they get too heavy in that.
We talked about the baby a lot while pregnant. And ways in which the older child could help. Our transitions from 1-2 and 2-3 have been a breeze. (Much easier than 0-1.)
When I nurse, I do so on the couch so the older sibs can sit next to us and I read...a lot. Thank goodness for library cards. (We don't have a TV, so that's not an option for us.)
@ZKLBM0618 congratulations! Since I was nursing and never got my period back I wasn't sure how far along I was (and I was secretly hoping I breezed through a lot of the first tri). They did an ultrasound which put me at 5-6 weeks but the doctor wasn't comfortable giving me a solid due date since the baby is still so small and hard to measure. She did say that it'll more than likely be the tail end of February! I will have a solid due date in about two weeks though
congrats!!! Mine are 17 months apart and I do love it but the first 6 months were a little bit rough. Just FYI not to be a debbie downer just be prepared for it to be tough at first and progressively get easier. GL!!
we're right there with you girl! my son was also born in september of last year and i found out today we're expecting number 2. i'm totally freaking out but so excited! congratulations!
