My family and friends are all big board/card game people. We're actually getting together this weekend to hang out and play games, which made me wonder what some of your favorite games were. There are only a few listed below so feel free to comment
Wicked22 Me too! AND we have all 4 regular expansion packs lol. I find myself often telling people that I'm a "Busy adult with many important things to do" & sometimes "Pooping back and fowrth. Forever" slips in there.
StacyMarie33 Since I'm gushing about it...have you played Cards Against Humanity? It's the exact same as apples to apples but for adults....and hilarious.
We actually own both games and stopped playing apples to apples entirely because we've been corrupted
I never get tired of scrabble. We have this old board from the 70s that's on a plastic lazy Susan and has slots for the tiles. It's premium.
FI and I have this joke about CAH always coming out at dork parties. You know you're at a dork party when a group of people decide to play CAH. no offense.
Our friends have regular game nights where about 10-20 of us come together and play a game of werewolf. I've sort of drawn myself out of the game itself lately and taken on the role of moderator (cause I like the POWER )
Anyways, we've even made our own cards and everything. Love it
You guise... I don't really like games. I mean, I'll PLAY them if that's what everyone is doing but I don't own any and have just never really been that into them. Except drinking games back in the day. Am I the only one? Am I broken?
I love games although NO ONE (including DH) will play with me! I voted Scrabble (I'm a word nerd) but I grew up playing card games with my mom and family.
CAH is awesome too, but it definitely has to be the right group of people. I wouldn't play it with my family, but my drunken friends, totally!
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!

I love all word games, but nobody will play me so I have to play them online.
When I was growing up we did a lot of card and dice games. Uno, phase 10, canasta/hand & foot, pinochle, liverpool, yathzee, 10,000.
Dh's family does nickel and dime poker. Deck gets passed around, dealers choice, knock, skin, blackjack, pineapple, no-peek, $1 show down, etc. they also play Liverpool and phase10.
BFP#4 3/17/14 - rainbowBaby BOY arrived 11/10/14 !!
I like a variety of games but had to go with Poker. Under the assumption that it was no limit Texas Hold' em. Because really, it's the only version worth playing...
We love games, too! I wish we played more often. My all-time favorite is clue, but I also love taboo, scattergories, & card games like UNO, Rummy, hearts, & poker

We started out using those cards to, but after we found that wikipedia page we wanted to try some of the new roles so we made new cards and included: Alpha wolf, wolf cub, vigilante, freemasons, vampires, drunk, dentist, coroner, baker and some more. We like to try out a couple of new roles each time
I'm planning on making new cards to have at a games table at our wedding next june.
I chose clue. I have figured out tricks to see other players cards. I blame them for a weapon, person or place that I have so they have to prove me wrong. My ex quit playing said I was a cheater. No but a damn good detective

I'm with you. I cannot be beat! lol. My aunt, grandma, mom & I played 14 games in a row and I won them all lol. I need to be a real life detective! because....you know......it's exactly the same
OMG... My hubby LOVES board games and I'm so glad we have that in common!
We LOVE Settlers of Catan, tho we usually okay Star Trek Catan because we're also Trekkies (well, hubby is a bit more than me).
We love Pandemic and Forbidden Island, which are cooperative games.
Dixit is AMAZING!!! Perfect game for most ages and such beautiful card art.
Sequence is a lot of fun.
Formula D is a super fun 'racing' board game.
Munchkin is essentially a card game, unless you purchase the deluxe version that has the board and some playing pieces. It's AMAZING no matter what version you play!
Fluxx is a card game that is constantly changing and is endlessly fun.
We have friends who are HUGE into board games (we're talking 4 large boxes FULL of board games) and we seem to play a new one every time we visit them.
Playing board and card games is a totally cathartic activity in our family.
I've never even heard of CAH...I'll have to look it up. After Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner my family always plays Taboo, maybe Jenga and maybe Uno. My favorite game is Monopoly but I don't get to play often because it's so long!! I also love Chess!
When we all lived at home my sister's and I were big on board games...Clue, Balderdash, Taboo, Scattergories, Uno & we loved Nightmare which was a boardgame with a video & you could buy other videos to go with it. We still have it but no VCR lol
I've never even heard of CAH though. My DH isn't reallly into board games..we one one which is Life but we bought it to get through the blackout of superstorm Sandy lol

Re: What's your favorite game?-GTKY
I voted on my own poll lol...How could I NOT pick Cards Against Humanity?!
That's an instant ticket to pee you pants laughing every time.
Balderdash is pretty fun too. And so is Farkle!!!
missnacholover Forgot about Balderdash AND Beyond Balderdash. (Also forgot to throw Yahtzee in there...a staple!) but I love those too!
Never played Farkle

ejpetey you're BROKEN!!! lol, jk. I've never played a drinking game! But...it's a game, so it's fair to list ;-)
