I prefer Audrey. I have actually known male and female Aubreys and the female was socially awkward and a little strange. The Audrey I knew was beautiful and really sweet so those are the pictures I have in my head.

I like both a lot. I had a friend named Aubrey, and she used to get stuff that assumed she was a man because of her name. I still think it's beautiful though!
I like classic names - so I vote for Audrey. I think of Audrey Hepburn.
Not a fan of Aubrey, NMS, but don't think its horrible. Think of it as a girls name.
TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages.
Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
Aubrey was on our short list for girl names. However, I have a coworker named Aubrey and she says people CONSTANTLY call her Audrey. She's even had many instances where places would spell her name Audrey even if she clearly spelled it Aubrey. She says it has been a constant annoyance in her life, just wanted to share.
Re: Which one...
Love.
audrey is beautiful and classic.
i've always thought aubrey just looked like a typo.?
Ditto.
I totally agree. For some reason, the sound of the name Aubrey sounds like you're saying it with a speech impediment. I don't know why.

Love Audrey.
Aubrey sounds dated to me. The only Aubreys I know are 80s babies.

So, my vote now goes to Audrey.
