I had both a Britax and a Triumph. I HATED the Britax and actually returned it and bought another Triumph for our 2nd car. I tried the Britax Boulevard and the Marathon and they were both VERY hard to tighten the straps when in the rear-facing position. They were also less comfortable then the Triumph. I really like the Triumph and it has a very high safety rating.
The Triumph has a lot more padding on the sides for side impact. Also more padding by the head so if DC falls asleep and their head tilts to the side, it is softer.
If you were to ask me which one you should get I would tell you hands down, get the Evenflo Triumph - no contest!
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
Im a tech and I love to install the Evenflo more then a Britax. I have not seen them on sale so just make sure the box was sealed from evenflo and it should be fine.
Edit
Also my daughter is 2 and still has a ton of growing room left and her feet are hardly touching the back seat. She is still rear facing in it
