Sorry friends. I wasn't seen until 3:30! She saw a gestational sac, small yolk sac, but it was too difficult to see a fetal pole. She said it may be too early. I'm worried this is a blighted ovum. Now I have to wait until tomorrow when my nurse gets the radiologist's report. Thank you all for your kind words and feels today. Y'all are the best!
This sounds good to me so far. I was worried with betas that high it was an ectopic if there was nothing there because they should have at least seen the sac. A fetal pole at 6 weeks isn't always seen because it's still early. You could have a late implanter so it may be another few days to a week.
Take a deep breath and hopefully things will start looking up for you. Hopefully you are just going to be one of those that had a period while pregnant. Just don't tell the newbies this, they will start thinking a period doesn't mean you are out. :-)
Keeping everything crossed for you! Hopefully soon you'll have some solid answers. Good luck!

I'm sorry if this is a loss. But don't count yourself out yet. Your betas look gook good and it might just be to early to see anything on the ultrasound. T&Ps to you.
ETA this happened to a couple of ladies on my BMB and everything turned out fine. Sorry you're in limbo. It sucks!
A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago, if it makes you feel any better. I was sent to the OB ER for bleeding. When I was seen at the ER, they could see a yolk sac, gestational sac, but no fetal pole. A week later at my OB's office, everything was fine. It may be too early to see anything substantial for you, and it may also be that a more trained eye needs to give it a look. I'm keeping all my crossables crossed for good news for you tomorrow!!
Slowly rising betas - Ectopic suspected on 8/8/14 & confirmed on 8/11/14

u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat
Everything crossed here too! No offense or anything but I don't want to see you back here. You moved up, you need to stay there! Sending white light for good news
I cannot express how much you all mean to me. Your words of wisdom, hope, and love have helped me tremendously today. Tomorrow morning, my plan is to call my OB and ask for another progesterone check and call this other doctor for a second opinion. My ob might have a reputation for not being one of the greatest high risk doctors in the area. I have been convinced by family members to seek another ob. I'm torn because I love my doctor and her staff and feel they try to do what they can, but it seems to be a step too late each time. I can't keep doing this. I need to know why I keep having these bleeds and do everything in my power to save this pregnancy.
Again, thank you all for your support. I'll keep you posted. (Hugs)

Still very uncertain. I called my nurse and she, again, said it was not a viable pregnancy. The sac measured smaller than last week even though they distinctly said they didn't see anything last week, but it wastoo early to tell. ?! This week there was a small yolk sac, last week there wasn't.
She is going to get the doctor to look at it (yeah, good idea) and call me back. She mentioned the dreaded D&C, but I'm not doing that until we have a later scan and more betas to confirm it's a true miscarriage. I'm not doing that if we don't know for sure.
I called the other doctor to see if I could get in. The earliest appointment was Aug 13th which doesn't help right now, but I took it. I'll continue with my current doctor until then. The joy ride isn't over yet!

I'm so sorry, Steph. I hope you get some answers soon. Do you have another scan set up yet?

What a mess I'd be really angry with your doctors for not giving you a straight answer. How can they say this week's sac is smaller than last week's when they told you there was nothing there at all? And why on earth would your beta test be so high if there's nothing there? So weird.

This is crazy! I'm so sorry you're going through this anxiously sitting on the fence. I hope you find out it was a bad reading to begin with and your betas and recent scan are proving to be a healthy pregnancy. I'm glad you're seeking a second opinion. It sounds like your current nurse/doctor don't communicate very well or have their shit together. I am wishing you the best of luck on this bumpy ride! Stay strong!
