Oddly, it wasn't too bad. i had a cotton/jersey maxi skirt on that had a lot of fabric that soaked some up and I delivered the placenta in the hospital so the bloody part was then. DH soaked a lot up with towels that night and then got the seat deep cleaned the next day. Doesn't smell yet, but I'll keep you posted :-)
