TTC after 35

ok……its time

Im going to start charting and in a month or 2 so longer be NPNT but actively TTC again. 
Ive been saying Im concerned about my weight and want to lose before actively trying and July is going to be a good month to really give it a serious go again.
I have only 1 wedding and only 2 sessions booked….although its only weddings that really throw my efforts off being gone all day and not being able to tote around low carb foods. August isn't really much busier.  So no excuses not to give it my all. Of coarse I'm going to start the 5th because the 4th is full of BBQ and goodies with friends and family. Aug 2nd is my Bday and Id like to be 12 lbs down if possible. 

My guess is if all goes well I we will actively start trying again in September. 

Seriosly i have almost 2 whole months of time that i can only dedicate to me……..no excuses!!!! 

My guess is I will be a bit more active around here too :P 

While I have not a lot of sessions booked i do have a website and blog site to get going and that will be work…but its all from home so again…nothing standing in my way. 

Send me all the good luck vibes for my goals so i can get this TTC thing underway! :P Of coarse I will be doing the same for all of you!

  • Glad you have a plan and goals to reach. I know you can do it.
    September will be here before you know it. Don't get cold feet lady. You are a great mom and adding another little one to your house will work out just fine.
    Stay focused and you can do it. I have faith in you.

  • I think that it's great that your starting to chart now. It gives you such an advantage when you are ready to start TTC again. I would also suggest using Wondfo OPKs when you do start in September.

  • Lots of luck in that weightloss journey! I'm right there with you. It's hard to stay strong and have the will power to avoid all the crap. But when I'm having a bad day or want to get off the treadmill early, I just keep saying "baby baby baby". Hope you find your focus and get to your goal!

  • If you want some assistance with your weight loss, I am here to help!

     

    My suggestions:

     

    1) Start an account on MyFitnessPal and log every bit of food you eat. You will be surprised at how much you actually eat in a day, and it will help you realize what you need to cut out. It also shows you your allowed amount of carbs and fats for the day which is extremely beneficial in your weight loss journey. You can key in your goal of losing a pound a week, and it will adjust your calories to allow you to meet that goal.

    2) For low fat/good for you snack options that are easy to tote around:

    - String cheese
    - Green apple slices with 1 tbsp All-Natural Low Sodium JIF peanut butter
    -  Raisins

    - ¼ cup of almonds

    - Oven roasted turkey slices and a few cubes of low-fat cheese

    - Trail mix (limited to ½ cup)

    - Greek yogurt

    - Celery sticks or carrot sticks with a portable individual sized serving of fat-free ranch

    - Kashi protein bar, Cliff protein bar, Nature Valley protein bar

    3) HOLIDAY SURVIVAL: At the 4th of July BBQ’s and such, skip the buns. Eat a hot dog with no bun, shredded chicken with no bun, hamburger with no bun. Skip the cheese. If there are fatty dips/side dishes, have no more than a ¼ cup serving of each just to ‘sample’ it. As far as desserts, go for the Jell-O or fresh fruit. Avoid soda and go for water or lemonade. If having an alcoholic beverage, go for 1 glass of red wine or only 1 beer. After that—it’s water.

We'll be here to cheer you on! :) ... sorry to barge in on your post, but @lgsdesigner --- I would love your help too - can you give me a meal plan similar to the one above that is gluten, soy & dairy free? I'm allergic to dairy, eggs are borderline and soy is not too good during pregnancy (right?)... the gluten I think is in my dr.'s head, b/c she thinks everyone should be gluten free, but I try to eat healthy grains when I do (brown rice, whole wheat, quinoa).   • Thanks ladies! 

    Im going to focus on diet more than exercise this first month. I will swim some but Im saving the real hard core stuff for when i have dropped around 15 pounds. Its just easier to move this bod when there is less of it to move! lol.  I Want to be thin again…..so so so bad! I don't want to get discouraged and thats what helped when i lost the first half of my weight. 


    @lgsdesigner I have heard of The My Fitness Pal and plan on checking it out. 

    Im pretty well educated on weightless and such. I actually used to be thin and fit and very active. I suffered a small and minor medical issue that as simple as it was had devastating effects on my weight until it was under control. 

     I had great success with weightless at one time but stopped halfway to goal….life got the best of me. I put a few (like 5) of the lbs of the 30 I lost back on but have pretty much kept it off……now onto losing the rest. 

    I carry around Almonds, cheese sticks, celery and sugar free almond butter when I'm going to be away from home. The Almonds are a life saver. I get the salt and pepper ones and Im good!!! 

    Im going to go ahead and enjoy the holiday because its going to be go go go till Thanksgiving as far as dieting goes. :) I may also enjoy a "free night" for my Bday ;P  I will however likely skip on buns as far as burgers and/or hotdogs go. :)
