@jjbmstinco -It can be hard dealing with pregnancies around us. I know I get jealous initially, but after I process the news, I am really happy for said person. Anything new going on?

(((Hugs))) for the news about YH's SIL. Especially the unnecessary details they shared. I'm right there with you on the 100% happy stuff. It takes me some time to accept it and move pass the green-eyed monster (jealousy). It is what it is. We do the best we can lady.

I'm pretty sure I'm out despite good timing this cycle. We are on month #19 and I'm pretty much over it. I know others have struggled much longer but I've kind of lost hope at this point. Sorry for my negativity today, I'll be better next week, promise!

QOTW: a friend has a huge party on the 4th every year with awesome fireworks so we will go there Friday night. Then Saturday my aunt is having a big party.

DH was super cute this morning with the present...kind of reminded me of a little kid on Christmas :-)
I can't wait for the 11th...given that I'm CD36 and no sign of ovulation, it's like my body took a pause when I moved and switched REs.

kistyW13: Glad you had a good vacation. I think it's totally normal to not be 100% happy right away...I found out my SIL was pregnant with her fourth baby a week after I had my MC and it broke my heart...not that I'm not going to love my niece/nephew, but it's just hard to take in.

@blackbird818 - Hey lady.. ((hugs)).  How are you?  What ever came from that low temp? 

I'm doing better.  It was a rough weekend, but I think I've moved on.  I spoke with my nurse on Monday & things have somewhat started rolling (slowing).  Should be hearing from me RE next week with what our next steps are. I'm pretty sure we are going to take a 2 cycle break, then IVF. 

QOTW:  Nothing really planned for us!  Our town put on their fireworks show Saturday night, which I love that we can watch from our patio. 

@kistyW13 - ((hugs)) to you.  But I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation and sounds like you have an awesome husband! 

@BluEyedGirl26 - Wow... 8th graders on a trip to DC, that would be tough!  Sorry about the BFN.  I'm sorry you're having a rough time right now. I was a downer last week - we are all entitled to those days.  ((hugs))

@mflowers929 -How is your week going?

It has been so stinking hot around here that I've honestly just been trying to survive. The humidity is making the temperature up to 25% hotter than it actually is. It's currently 30 degrees (86F) but feels like 38 (100F)! That's one thing I like about going to work, is that they have A/C in the kitchen and dining room, so I tend to try to stay in those rooms as much as possible, or at least walk through them on a regular basis.

We seem to have figured out our car situation. My brother was looking to sell his car, and is willing to take payments, so he's going to be driving it over to us. Then, apparently, he's going to stay, and we're all going to drive to Toronto, and the DH and I are going to drive back. Lots of driving lol, it's a good thing I like road trips.

AF showed up yesterday! I don't think I've been this happy about getting my period since I got my first one lol. I also started a FF chart, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to remember to actually chart lol. Still poking around trying to figure it out right now

QOTW - I worked yesterday. I had planned to come home and pop open a beer, but I ended up having a nap instead. We just watched the fireworks from our bedroom instead of getting eaten by mosquitoes like last year.

Still no AF and it has me both stumped and ticked. I had pretty regular cycles so to suddenly be without it and BFN's up the wazoo I'm just sitting here scratching my head. I was all ready to do it right this cycle too; got me a proper thermometer and some OPK's and now I'm completely thrown off. I know it's stupid but I'm bummed.

We have fireworks planned but the weather is horrible and rainy so it's kinda adding to this funk of mine. Boo!

I hope everyone's 4th or Canada Day is great!!!

AFM, I had a brief glimmer of thought that I might have O'd bc of CM & a lower temp. But after today's temp, that is over. So cd37 without O it is.

NTTCALR: Nothing too exciting going on here. I'm down another 3lbs. After my MIL called me fat on Sunday (she's a "peach"), I've been really pushing it this week. A month from tomorrow I'll be on the beach in Playa soaking up the sun & alcohol. B-)


QOTD: We don't have any definite plans. We don't do fireworks bc H's senior corgi is highly afraid of them; she'll whine the whole night. I think we'll probably go fishing at some point. Probably grill out too. Pretty low-key.

The new RE appointment went well. Very organized and informative. The doc wasn't warm and fuzzy or overly optimistic for me, but I'm fine with that. We're going to move to IVF. Next cycle I will do a baseline and start Estrace. I'm glad to have a plan in place. This month is our Hail Mary doing a natural cycle. Stranger things have happened, right???

@kistyW13 and @BlueEyedGirl26 - Big hugs to both of you. I've been there too many times to count.

QOTW: We have nothing going on. We couldn't secure a dog sitter so home we will sit. I'd like to find a festival to attend or do some kind of day trip.

Hopefully you can stay cool. I'm used to the heat being from Oklahoma. I usually wear a coat at work bc I'm very cold-natured. Customers always comment on it. It's a pain to always be cold; I keep a hoodie or jacket in my car year round.

That's great you guys got the car siuation figured out. One less thing to stress about. Yay for AF for showing up!!


@ky29 more ((((((((hugs)))))))) my friend. I'm glad to hear the ball is rolling for the IVF cycle. Two cycles will go by before you know it.

We live on a hill and can watch firework shows from 4 communities easily plus all the personal people's fireworks around us.


@lyndz333 I'm sorry AF still hasn't shown up. It's so frustrating just waiting...and waiting and waiting. Hopefully your body catches up soon!! You can start temping now just to get into the habit of it as you wait to start your next cycle.

We have 4 dogs so us both getting away takes an act of congress.

Thank you for the sympathy! Yea she's definitely something. When I recounted the convo to my mom, she was like does it really surprise you? And she has a point; it didn't really surprise me. But the stinging part of it is I know I've put on weight since going off BCP (thanks PCOS) along with my pregnancy & subsequent mc. And to top it all off, the witch (MIL) has never acknowledged my loss even just to say I'm sorry. Yea we don't have a great relationship, if you can't tell.

FYI Here's the convo (mind you she hadn't spoken directly to me the entire visit until this):

MIL: "Are you still on your diet?"

Me: "Yes."

MIL: (she just got back from vacay in Cozumel) "I saw all types of people in all types of swimsuits down there; I wouldn't worry 'bout it."


@-) I didn't say anything else to her the rest of the visit. H was sitting right there and didn't sat anything. On the drive back he asked what was on my mind, I told him I was thinking about how his mom called me fat. He was like when did she do that? So I recounted it to him. His response? Silence. Yea defend that one buddy.

I grew up in Florida, so like I was telling my girlfriend, when I say it's hot, it's HOT. I feel so bad for my pets right now. The poor guinea pigs are curled up outside of their huts not moving because it's so damn hot. Oliver can at least go upstairs and curl up in the breeze of the fan.

Stories like yours make me so grateful for my in-laws. Even though we can't really communicate the best because of the language barrier, my mother in law has always been very supportive of us. My father in law just doesn't talk lol

Thanks. Yea she's a passive aggressive & backhanded comment pro. 8-| and sometimes I feel like H is oblivious to it. Most of the time she totally ignores me. Then jabs in stuff like the above. Lucky me...

Fortunately (or unfortunately) she's the only living family H has so there's no buffer of other people to talk to when we're with her.

@mflowers929- when it gets too hot and our bigs get cranky, we put medium sized rocks in the freezer.  Then its hot, we out it on top of their pigloo.  They love it.  It doesn't get everything wet like ice, and its safe for piggies if they licked it.  Just a thought.

Things are fine here.  I am one of those people who always O on CD14-16.  Apparently not this month, so we have just been HIO.  Never a bad thing. We are having guest come over for the parade since it goes right in front of our house.  I love to entertain, so I am excited.  I am not much into fireworks, but we might walk over and watch them.

Me too, it can't come soon enough! I stop BCP on the 13th and start estrace suppositories on the 14th. I have my baseline u/s on the 18th. I feel bad, I have been lying to family and friends about when this is happening because I want to keep it private. But people keep wanting to come visit in the next few weeks so it's getting hard to hide.


@kistyw13- I'm glad you had such a great vacation. I'm sorry however about getting blindesided with your SILs news. Some details shouldn't have been shared.

@jjbmstinco cycles can be wonky after a loss. It can take time to get back to "normal", or you may have a new "normal" now. Enjoy the parade and entertaining!!! And the BDing!!!

@medic7979 (((hugs))) I know the waiting sucks big balls. You can start temping any time. It's not a bad idea to start now to get in the habit of it before your next cycle starts. Temping/charting can seem pretty intimidating/daunting, but once you start, you realize it's pretty simple especially using Fertility Friend.

Now there's an idea! I was wondering if there was something we could do to keep them cool. Mocha has been through this before, but it's especially bad because Latte and the boys were all born in the cooler months, so they're not used to it. Now to go search out some rocks ^^

I'm trying not to get wrapped up in my symptoms because I'm not confident with the way this cycle began. The 2ww hasn't been terrible. It'll fly by once Saturday hits. We are driving down to Florida from Jersey to visit the in-laws that night. I was debating on packing HPTs, but I have a feeling they'd be negative regardless since the 2ww ends the 12th, and we'll be back home the 10th.

@kistyW13‌ ((hugs)) sorry about the news from your SIL. Been there. DH and I worry we'll get a phone call from his parents saying his sister is pg again. She (almost 40) and her husband can't even take care of themselves and the kid they have. My in-laws already support them. I think we'd have this fear even if we weren't dealing with IF.

So one of these days I'll get around to posting this fairly soon after it's put up, but silly tablet will let me view the forums, but not post to it. So....I talked to the nurse who was in charge of my referral today. Apparently they called weeks ago (it's been 5 weeks this week since my follow-up, but who is counting) and she was surprised that I hadn't heard anything from the Endocrinologists office yet. She said she would call in the morning (since it was past 5) and follow-up with them and find out what was going on, and then she would let me know.

Other than that life is going by smoothly, still waiting for my first AF to show. Never thought I would be happy to say that. Still waiting on DH to hear if he got this position he applied for, which if he gets would be wonderful because his company would pay for our move. Otherwise it's coming out of our pockets. >.<

As for the Question of the Day, since the 4th is over, no I didn't do anything exciting. DH had to work the whole weekend so I got to have a quiet weekend at home which after last weekend was welcome. Last Sunday I managed to somehow flush my glasses down the toilet and was fortunate enough to get a last minute appointment that afternoon at the eye doctor to get contacts. So at least I was able to see after that.
