I am a FTM and am posting for the first time although I have been reading for a while

I am 25wk1d and was really slow at getting excited about this pregnancy(almost in a "cold feet" sort of way), but have finally gotten over my nerves and let the excitement set in.
Anyway, we are going to register tomorrow and while I think I have figured out what NOT to put on the registry what are some items that you experienced moms would say are must haves?
Re: Hi there! What was your best registry item?
The only exception are Aden+Anais swaddling blankets. They are absolutely amazing, and great for swaddling, carseats, and other things. We still use them in the crib with my toddler.

I also love the IKEA sheets. Elastic all the way around, so they fit really well on the mattress. We got the basic white ones and they were so easy to clean or sun when we had accidents.
DH says the Arm's reach co sleeper was his favorite. It was a handme down item, but it was so useful.
Other advice: If you register for a tummy time activity mat thing with sounds or lights, make sure it is one where you can change the battery. We had to return the one we registered for after about 2 weeks because the battery in the music piece died and couldn't be changed.
A sound/noise machine was pretty nice to have and definitely helped DD get back to sleep a lot when she was small. We had the Cloud B Gentle Giraffe on the go - the one you could strap onto something - and we kept it strapped onto the outside of her top crib rail.

I love hearing from experienced mommies. I've added so much to our registry this week. Just added a Boppy and aden swaddles.
OP, thanks for posting. We registered last weekend. I am excited for our swing, which is a must, bouncer, and pack n play.
Any recs on baby monitors? I wanted an audio monitor, but none of the ones sold at BBB, where we are registered, got good reviews. Is a video monitor worth it? I hear horror stories about hacking. We live in a top floor (4th) condo and own the roof, so we'd like a monitor that can work upstairs on the roof while baby is sleeping a floor below. Thanks for any advice
For your situation, since you will sometimes be on a different floor from the baby, I think a video monitor is worth it. That way you won't have to keep going down stairs to check on him when he is crying.
I have the Motorola MBP36 and we love it! Their customer service is also awesome - ours broke and even though it was outside the warranty period, they sent us a brand new one.
Sorry, I'm having issues editing my earlier post.
Just wanted to add that I haven't had any issues with anyone hacking into the Motorola monitor nor have I heard stories about it.
Can this substitute for a RnP??

Or should I change this to something else?
I registered for this swing:
I also love the wubba nub pacifiers and they are super cute so I think people like to buy them
