Am I over thinking this?

Tonight at midnight is my first ever hcg trigger and our IUI is scheduled for 2pm on Thursday (38 hours after trigger). Am I going to miss the window? Should we have had sex tonight before I went to work? We haven't BD since Sunday afternoon...also despite the fact that I'm an RN I'm so nervous to do this injection in the bathroom at work, at least I have a place to dispose of my sharps? Haha

Also to add, we have no MFI, last IUI count was 35million

That is not a problem. Ovulation happens 36-40 hours after the shot and the egg is viable for up to 24 hours.

With no MFI, it sounds perfect to BD 1.5 days before IUI!

And I've read O most often comes 38 hours after trigger not 36, so maybe that's what your RE uses. I'm sure the timing will be great whether the egg just arrived or whether the sperm just got there to meet it.

It's not a problem, good luck!  The doc has us BD the night of the shot and then abstain until IUI. Did they say anything to you about that?

My fertility meds come with a sharps container, maybe you could ask for one?

@NariaDreaming‌ no I was working, I specifically asked if we should at my appt and she said no. Kinda bummed now that we didn't before I went to work.

I worry about trigger timing every month, lol, even though I know that has pretty consistent results.  That all sounds fine.  Good luck to you!
