I think it's time to look for another job. There are some things going on within my company that lead me to think my job may be relocated to our corporate office. For various reasons, I can't make that move so now I need to work on my resume. Interviewing is certainly not my strong point so I really want my resume to be great. And hopefully I can work on my interviewing skills as well. Does anyone have any recommendations for building your resume? Any websites I should check out?
Re: Resume building resources
I just went through rewriting me resume...it is the most difficult thing to write! Above all else I would find the most successful person you know and ask if they would review your resume. My colleague and my husband both reviewed mine and gave invaluable feedback that wouldn't have been available on the web. Also, a "professional" resume writer (or reviewer)...I've just never been impressed. My husband spent $400 on getting his resume professionally done and while it sounds impressive (his career accomplishments made that part easy) I thought some of the formatting was awkward (but they are the experts so what do I know?)
good luck!
