Contract? WWYD

So after having an amazing in-home daycare provider for a year, we are back to square one. Our sitter moved to another state, so we are back to looking for a new sitter. My question is, would you have a written contract for the sitter? We had a contract with our previous sitter, but it was one she created. If our new sitter doesn't have one, I'm thinking about creating one myself. Do you all do this? I think it would be good so everyone is on the same page with expectations. WWYD ?

We go to an in-home daycare, so its a little more formal, but we've got a contract.  i think its a good idea.

I would if I wasn't good friends with the woman who will be watching Phee in the fall. I just think everyone having the same goals and expectations is important.

Super smart. If your new sitter doesn't have one, I'd create one. You will both be on the same page for sure then.

Sitter or nanny? Nanny; yes. Occasional sitter, no.

@JSS1002 I wouldn't call her a nanny because she isn't caring for E in our home. But she def is not an occasional sitter. She will be keeping E 3-4 days per week while we go to work in her home. We will drop him off to her each day.

Then yes I would because it sounds like an in home daycare and I would want everybody to be on the same page.

We did! It wasn't anything formal or lawyer-esque, just a written page of expectations, schedule, pay, vacation, etc. etc.
