What does you LO call her/himself?

DD has known her name for awhile, but she really just started saying it this week.  She calls herself "Wiwi" (Lily).  So cute!

she doesn't call herself anything! i can't get her to say sophia...can't even get her to say sofia when we're watching sofia the first

last night we were going through words, and i was like "can you say ___" and when i said "can you say sophia?" she said "no" and giggled

now i wonder if she thinks her name is no?

LOL @littleheaven ... I worry too DS thinks his name is "no" too! He calls himself "baby". But has not once tried to pronounce his name.

DS calls himself "dada"...which is what he also calls me and DH. LOL. The best part is that he says "mama" but only when he is in distress. The rest of the time I'm dada and so is he. Toddlers, so weird.

@littleheaven, your DD seems chock full of personality - her pictures are so cute!!  I think you are in serious trouble.

we are most definitely in trouble...i'm pretty sure she started her terrible 2's when she turned one....she's a piece of work....

i feel like she's purposely refusing to say her name, just like when i would ask her to say mommy she'd say daddy....which i'm like, 99% sure she did on purpose...however, i'm pretty sure when we were in the disney store last night she said "me" when i held up a sofia the first towel

I have twins and when I ask Brooklyn what her name is she say "Ideee" (Ivey) which is her sister's name!

DS doesn't call himself anything yet.

I am embarassed to admit this but I have an annoying habit of not using pronouns with him (trying to stop). "That is George's cup and this is Mommy's cup," vs "That is your cup and this is mine."

Yup, she calls herself AH~ me (we call her Sammy, name is Samantha).

DD does not use her name.  She also no longer speaks on command at all.  When I ask if she can  say/do something, she says "no" and smiles.  She's all about function when it comes to speaking and so I can't imagine she will learn her name when really all she wants to do is request things.

Taylor knows his name, but like the silly toddler he is, he will only say it when he's in the mood. We didn't think he knew it but then said it clearly 3-4x. He usually calls himself baby (my fault - I still call him that. Oops.)

DS will point to pictures of himself and say "Teddy" but if you ask him what his name is, he'll shake his head and laugh.

DD's name is Violet. For awhile she'd point to pictures of herself and say "You." (As in, "that's you!") Then she started saying Viley, and now it is Violet, but she pronounces it Vi-lot.

Jacey is funny. If she sees herself in pictures thats baby.. I know she can say her name because ive heard her say it about 5 times. If you ask her whats your name? She responds name and starts laughing like really mom, move on I know my name.. silly girl

Well, Eloise is her first name so she's just learning to say that but she'll also say Elsie. Our NNs for her are Elsie/Else. Clementine will come later, sometimes I wish we'd used it as her FN though!

Oh that's right! I think I've always loved clementine so that stuck in my mind!

DS calls himself Tuck Tuck because that's what his cousin calls him. We rarely call him Tucker anyways, so it'll probably be a while. He refuses to say it on command most of the time, but he'll repeat it when he hears it said in conversation.

She sometimes calls herself Mira which is what the kids at school called her bc they couldn't get the A for Amira. She also sometimes says me or just points to herself.

DD also just discovered "mine" in the past week. I can't remember what she had but she ran up to the wall, squatted down and just kept saying "mine, mine, mine"

@ReeceFamily and @ConstanceGoodspeed: I do this to avoid saying "mine." I don't want DS to learn too early.

He doesn't call himself anything yet. I didn't think about purposefully having him say his name.
