And breastfeeding.
Thoughts everyone? I've asked the doctor and he said it was fine for nursing mother's. The pharmacist said they prescribe the same medication to infants. And that the only issue might be that he may have loose stool. Which at this point with him starting to really like solids, might help his constipation.
As a third resource I went to Kelly Mom and looked it up. It's listed as an L1 for lactating mothers. Which if I read correctly, has no known risk.
Has anyone been in this situation. What did you do?
Re: Amoxicillin
Amoxicillin is ok while breastfeeding. LO and I happened to be sick at the same time and my doctor prescribed me amoxicillin and a couple other things. When LO went to his appointment later with his pediatrician, she double checked everything I was prescribed. Since LO and I would both be on amoxicillin, she slightly lowered his dose, just to be extra cautious.

Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
The Dr wanted me to take 2 other meds also (allegra and flonase) This didn't seem right so I doubled checked with the pharmacist and she said just stick to the antibiotic. It worked really quick, so I hope you're better soon too.
