Questions... (loss mentioned)

So... I'm in the 2WW and I've only been pregnant once before and by the time I found out I was pregnant, it was too late and then I had MC. So, I don't remember any symptoms or anything from before until I knew I was PG... do you guys mind answering a few questions for me, please?

1. During the 2WW are you supposed to feel anything? Or better yet, feel nothing at all? I know it's too early for PG symptoms, but I thought maybe some stuff would stick around or something?  What was your 2WW like?

2. Is it okay to have crampy feelings any time after O? Or can that be bad news?

I am having a few symptoms, but I feel like I'm going crazy and imagining some of them (maybe the phantom symptoms you guys talk about)... please fill me in with anything you feel like. And then I'll shut up about it!

Biggest truth ever about the 2WW: pregnancy symptoms feel like AF symptoms. 

And yes, some people feel implantation. Others don't. This is a huge part of the cray-cray we all feel every cycle. If you can keep busy enough that you don't think about it too much, it can help. Good luck! FX this is it!

Crampy feelings during the 2WW are not necessarily bad news--don't stress out about that!

I think the official line is that it's not possible to have symptoms before implantation, but some people think that women who are very sensitive/attuned to their bodies can pick up changes due to the presence of Early Pregnancy Factor.  And I suppose there are other hormonal changes that take place immediately after conception.  I'm not a biology person, though.

When I got my BFP, I didn't have any symptoms other than the tender breasts I generally got around ovulation.  (and I was actively trying, so I was on the lookout for them.)  In fact, I only tested because it was a Friday night and I wanted a glass of wine.  I already had the bottle open when the line came up on my FRER.

Thank you! I believe I'm 7DPO and I had a little dull cramping/pressure yesterday and it just started again, very minor dull ache in my pelvic area. I was getting worried about it.

Also, other things I've noticed, my breakfast protein shake I have every morning, which has kind of a sweet flavor, tasted really salty today, but it smelled kind of sweet, like a salty caramel scent, that's never happened before. And my water tastes different/funny too. Boobs are still a little sore and feel like frequency of peeing is picking up some.

They say since both PMS and PG symptoms are caused by progesterone that it is nearly impossible to distinguish between the 2. That being said, I got implantation bleeding when I got pg in January, I started peeing a lot, and I was getting headache/dizziness which I don't normally get with PMS. On the other hand, I got a little dizzy this past month and got AF. If you are 7DPO you can probably test on Friday.

PMS and very early pregnancy symptoms are the same for me, crampy, twingy, tender breasts, etc... I am very sorry for your loss and best wishes for a successful pregnancy.

I didn't have a single symptom before my BFP so try not to overanalyze.  Cramping also doesn't mean anything.
In short symptoms really mean nothing, we just have to wait out the test.  It sucks though.

Thank you for the feedback! I guess the pain today is a little more twingy feeling. My Ovia app says to test on July 7-8th and fertility friend July 9-10th ... ohhh the agony.

I think we get hyper aware of our bodies when we are ttc. I think the feelings and symptoms are always there but only notice them when we are obsessed with getting a BFP.

My two children weren't planned so I didn't know I was pregnant till a week after AF was due. I had no idea I was pregnant so I was not aware of any symptoms. With my two MC's I was actively trying and I was definitely more attuned to every twinge and pain. I probably had the same feelings for the first two but just wasn't looking for them.

I don't usually get cramps so that isn't something I can comment on. Even during my MC's I wasn't very cramps. I think I just have a higher pain tolerance.

Try not to read into the symptoms and just wait for AF or take a test. That is the only way to know.

Thanks again all! I am usually so busy with work I don' t have time to think about anything, but it's slow this week, maybe because of the upcoming holiday. I'll just try to focus on that!

Oh-- one thing that was a definite clue to me that I might be pregnant was that a vein appeared in my right breast. It wasn't there before-- and it wasn't big and lumpy like a varicose vein or anything, but it was a blue wiggly line that wasn't there before. And that seems to be my only indication that I'm pregnant-- it appeared both times I was pregnant when TTC my dd. Now, I can't use that indication because it's still here because I'm still BFing.

This has been my similar experience. I'm symptom obsessed. 

Child/Loss mentioned.......

With my first, I was clueless and thought that it couldn't be pregnancy and I had PMS. I was wrong. In my second pregnancy (miscarriage), I felt nothing, so with my last pregnancy, I was obsessed and concerned that I wasn't feeling the same things as my first. Turned out just fine and I have a very healthy little one.

I had a feeling that I was pregnant with DS when I started going down a flight of stairs and my breasts hurt. That was 8DPO. My breasts never hurt before, so that immediately struck me as strange. I also had some early wakeups during the 2WW and that was odd for me because I used to be a sound sleeper.

I agree that others that some women don't experience any odd pregnancy symptoms at all.

Just got a call back from my ob/gyn (a while back I inquired to whether we should re-check my AMH b/c I did my test in 2/13 and it was 0.4, so she was calling back to say that I should), she doesn't even want me to bother testing until 15 DPO! That's July 10th! But AF is due ~July 7th anyway, so I guess that'll answer the burning question if..........

Okay, okay, I get it now, we're all different, no way to tell either way I guess. Will just have to see!
@TAT2MAMI - I guess we're on a similar cycle, mine is due 7th or 8th... so guess we'll find out together! FX

I find out on the 8th too, that's when AF is due for me. @mdogan29‌ & @TAT2MAMI‌ we are cycle buddies, hope it's gonna be good news for us all. I've had the typical pre AF symptoms so I can't call it. But I must say the past two days I've been having cramps, I don't get AF cramps so I'm keeping my fx that its something good

Me either @C_Girlie! I usually get cramps day of or during AF!  I've had them since 7DPO, very light and also twinges plus the bloating and gas - fun stuff! FX for all of us cycle buddies!
