### IUI Check-In July 1 ###

((Hugs))to all that need them! I had IUI #3 on Monday. We were pretty bummed to see that DHs count was very low. I'm hoping it was just due to stress because everything was originally all good on his end. FX that it gets better next time if there is a next time. QOTW: I saw The Fault of Our Stars and loved it!

Hi Everyone!

I have never posted on any board before, but I just started my 2ww after my first IUI so I really need people to talk to about it rather than driving my friends and family crazy.

DH and I have been TTC for 4 years with no luck.  We've tried 3 cycles of Clomid with timed intercourse with no results.  Finally saw a fertility specialist at the beginning of June and she suggested IUI.  She told me I had 9 healthy follicles on one side and 12 on the other.  My husband's semen analysis was great.  Assuming the issue has been hostile mucus.

We did twice the dose of Clomid plus a trigger shot for this cycle.  I had 3 follicles growing this month before the IUI.  My husband had a great sample.  I feel like our odds of getting pregnant are really good on the first try, but I am going to go crazy waiting 14 days to test.  It seems almost unreal that after all this time it could be so simple and we could get lucky the first try.

Do any of you have tricks or tips for clearing your mind and not dwelling on it?  I try so hard to think of other things but no matter what I am doing it's all I can think about!  How do we not go crazy?

Just realized I didn't answer the important questions.

1. Where are you at in the IUI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.) 2ww

2. Which IUI are you on? IUI #1 (performed July 3)

3. Test/Beta day? July 17 HPT

QOTW: I just finished reading The Kite Runner which was really, really good, but also very sad.  I would have cried even if I weren't on Clomid, but I may have cried even harder considering the amount of hormones coursing through my body right now.

Hey guys, just a quick update-my first IUI was a bust. Clomid extended my LP by a couple days and kept my temp really high so I had my hopes up.

I'm taking this cycle off from clomid and IUI and will reassess in August what I want to do. I'll probably go back to the routine but who knows. Clomid was really painful for me even at 50mgs so I'm kind of chickening out right now. I even put my FF on hold.

I'm going to be on a family road trip for the next 4-5 weeks (ugh) so I may be MIA but I'm hoping the best for everyone here that this cycle is a good one for you all!

@belou52579 I'm sorry. :-( Clomid was pretty rough for me too. FWIW, injects have actually been a lot better. I'm not sure if that's an option for you. Good luck coming up with a plan when you get back.

@sewfie - I was thinking about picking up A Thousand Splendid Suns but since I am already weepy and emotional right now I thought better of it and am reading a history book about Royal Scandals.  It's much more fun and lighthearted.
