any successful stories from using cervidil?

I was diagnosed at 32 weeks with pre eclampsia. It has only gotten worse to the point that they decided we need to deliver. I was given rounds on Cervidil at 2pm Saturday and then 4 am Sunday. I was told I was 1 cm and 50% effaced after being completely closed. Then i started on pitocin. After 5 or so hours, I was checked again. No change. They stopped the pitocin and gave me a 3rd round of cervidil which will end at 11 am. Right now Im at a 50/50 chance of having a c section tomorrow. My little guy didnt seem to tolerate the contractions on the pitocin as it got to the highest dosage I was given (not sure what it was since they upped it every 30 minutes. They were starting to get painful but not unbearable yet).

My 3rd trimester has screwed up everything I wanted for delivery it seems like

I had an induction, just a week early, due to developing preeclampsia. I did end up having a c/s but that was more about my body than anything else -- narrow pelvic bones. It all ended up fine.

ETA: sorry I many to say that the cervadil itself worked well for me, as I dilated and progressed just as I should have, he just got stuck!

Absolutely. With DS I wasn't dilated when I was to get induced so my OB said we would start with cervadil and then once I started dilating move onto pitocin. They expected my labor to be at least 24 hours but within 12 DS was born and I never needed pitocin. It was a great childbirth experience.

I was given cervildil on my due date and it put me into labor on the second round. They started pitocin a few hours later and D s was born in the next four hours.

I had 3 rounds if it and pitocin and it ended up not working. After over 30 hours of this, I decided to go to c section. Kaeden was boen at 9:41 last night
