Underwear

Seriously....how do you wear yours because this is a ridiculous issue for me lol. I'm more comfortable in "over the bump" but then, obviously, i'm buying giant granny panties. I cannot tolerate the "digging, under the bump" underoos...no thanks. Do they make maternity underwear?

I feel like this is just a me problem lol. I'm always perplexed about where they're positioned.

I just need good underwear 8-|

  • Honestly I prefer going commando. NOTHING close to my ladyparts feels good since I got pregnant. The few pairs I don't hate are boyshort/brief types and I wear them under my belly.

That's the thing, I'm extremely uncomfortable with them under the bump. I spend most of my days pulling some giant elastic ones up around the boob area....it's more comfortable, but a big inconvenience and the furthest away from attractive lol

Most of my underwear are cotton with lace on the top instead of an elastic band. Soo comfy!

I have been wearing this kind as well – and I just went to buy more bc they are the only thing I have that is comfy.

Just like the picture @kllopez1221 posted.  I got a bunch from VS when they had a sale and just picked up some that are similar at Target.

Yes! They are comfy and cute. I still feel sexy around DH with them. No granny panties as long as I can help it!

  • What about low cut bikinis in a size or two larger?

I personally had to get comfortable with the under the belly undies. I still get the full coverage and bought just a size bigger. I'm an over the bump kind of girl myself but I've gotten used to the other b/c it was getting impossible to find underwear that fit comfortably over the bump :) It's not just you!

  • This is what I wear everyday. They are super comfy and not restrictive whatsoever. (obviously not the same pair everyday, but a version of this) I get them at target.

This. I have like 40 of these that I bought at Target too. I've been buying them for the last several years and I have not had any discomfort so far being pregnant.

  • Another vote for Target undies. The low rise bikinis are still comfy for me @ 19 weeks w/ twins. They're usually on sale too - 5 or 6 for $20 :)

  • I'm still in my cotton low-rise bikinis without any interference issues. I may have to go up a size at some point. I also sport the lace thongs when I'm worried about VPL.

  • I'm with @BlackBooks‌ about low cut undies. They're a life saver for me. I'm not ready to buy maternity underwear either.
  • I keep buying new underwear, because my old ones are too small and getting holes in them from all the stretching.

I wear my normal undies, just in a size larger. I can't do granny panties. When I am home I am commando though.

  • Victoria Secret has sales all the time and you can get like 7 pair for $25... my faves are the soft stretchy undies that are under the belly and non restrictive. They will also stretch with you as your pregnancy progresses. Sorry, I forgot what the fabric is called!
  • I stick with but shorts. My faves are the joe boxer from Kmart.

Pretty panties but granny panties will have to suffice. X_X

  • I was having a problem with the band of my underwear cutting right into my bump.  I found some Comfort Waist Band bikinis in a size up- they came in a three pack, they were Fruit of the Loom.  LOVE.  There is a wide band, but it is not made of elastic or overly tight.  The waist band looks like this:

I haven't had a problem with them falling down, the bump is enough to keep them there.  Also, the bikinis had nice butt coverage, no wedgies.   And, they were something like $7 for each three pack.

  • I have not had a problem with any of my prepregnancy underwear. They are all low rise and fit comfortably below my bump. Some of you must be carrying very low to have a problem with the waistband digging in.

Most of my underwear are the VS yoga style. I also have some cuter stuff, but the yoga material is much more comfortable for exercise. I once made the mistake of running 8 miles in some lace trimmed panties. That rubbed some very sensitive areas the wrong way.
