Oop - I posted this on IF before and now I am trying here because it may be a better fit:
Hello,
I did injections & IUI this cycle. Now in the 2WW. I took the HCG shot on Fri 6/20 and had IUI Sun 6/22. On Sun 6/29 I had a blood test for progesterone. It was 4.22
Today's HPT was the first HPT that was actually negative yesterday I had a very faint positive from the HCG shot, still).
We did Gonal-F injections at various levels and then the HCG shot.
RE's nurse said that she was looking for something over 3 so they were happy. I keep seeing day 21 progesterone levels, and I wasn't quite day 21.
Any thoughts/experiences?
We had twins in 2009 with the same protocol but progesterone wasn't ever mentioned to me back then.
Unless they're using a different measuring scale (I doubt it, but maybe it is possible??), that number sounds pretty low. I mean, I think it indicates ovulation, but it is a pretty low progesterone level, and I'm not sure if it would sustain a pregnancy. Like PP, my RE wants me to be over 15 for a medicated cycle.
As far as the CD 21 thing, the cycle day actually doesn't matter at all. It is actually important that it is pretty close to 7 days after ovulation (your IUI). It only ends up being CD 21 if you ovulated on CD 14, which often isn't the case. If it were me, I would ask if they would recommend progesterone support, assuming the tests were done around 7DPO.
Slowly rising betas - Ectopic suspected on 8/8/14 & confirmed on 8/11/14
Methotrexate on 8/12/14 -HCG negative on 9/2/14

Today is Day #1 of the next cycle. I have PCOS and usually have to miss the next month after an IUI because of leftover cysts but I will know for sure on Friday.
Thanks for all the info about levels - I wasn't to disappointed and can't wait to see if doc has a progesterone plan for me.
Re: Anyone around to discuss Progesterone level 1 week after IUI? (children mentioned):
