I cook Monday-Thursday and usually Sunday night my DH will grill some kind of meat outside but I will do all the sides. He has no clue what to do in the kitchen.

  • When cooking is done, I do it. I don't do much cooking these days though....

  • DH hasn't cooked for me since we were dating 5 yrs ago. I usually cook everything unless he grills.
  • I do the majority of the cooking for my family unless the grill is involved.

DH does all cooking. He's better at it and I just hate doing it. I used to bake but 90% of my baking stuff is in storage somewhere :(

It's pretty much this for me, other than I don't necessarily hate doing it; I'm just nowhere near as good at it as him.
  • I do the cooking. If it were left up to SO we'd probably end up having eggs every night as its the only thing he really knows how to cook. You'd think he'd know more having pretty much grown up in a kitchen with his Nonna but nope.

  • I cook, but he grills so I get more help in the summers. He used to do the dishes every night, but it's been less consistent lately. We may need to chat because there's not much that's worse than waking up to a pile of dishes in the sink.

  • We have a deal, I cook, he does the dishes. I love cooking and he would pretty much never eat if I didn't put food in front of him so it works out well. This is the one area where we are complete opposites, food makes me happy, food is just a necessary part of living for him.
  • I usually cook all winter long and in the summer he BBQs a lot and I make the sides.
  • I said I cook all the time but this time of year is more of an exception because we grill more and he does all the grilling.  I still do the majority of the cooking though.

I do all the cooking (and cleaning) all year round. I'm thinking I pulled the shorter stick here. Even the grilling I do. I do loving cooking so I don't mind it so much.
  • We both cook - but DH probably does it a little more often because he likes it better than I do.  Mixed blessing there, since DH is crazy messy in the kitchen.  And when DH cooks, I clean (and vice versa).

  • He cooks all the time. I hate cooking with a passion and I always end up ruining or burning anything I attempt to make. It sucks now since my husband is working mid-shift and not home for dinner anymore. I end up eating frozen dinners and grilled cheese.

  • I plan the menu for Monday - Saturday and DH always does dinner on Sunday. If he's home in time or on weekends, he'll help with dinner.

  • It's only me and DS during the week and I don't do much cooking.  I'll fix his dinner but mine's usually something simple.  A sandwich, cereal, salad, etc.  On the weekends we do more cooking/grilling and DH does probably 75% of it.  He's horrible at cleaning up the kitchen so I always end up doing it.
