Qs for MN moms & those who have flown...

might be headed your way later this month ... suggestions on things to do with LO at the end of July in the Minneapolis area?

Also, any input on airlines & their friendliness towards ticketed carseats - debating between Sun Country, Delta & United because they each have nonstop flights.

  • Ticketed car seats as in you paid a ticket for LO and are using a car seat?

  • I only flew with Morgan as a lap child, and it sucked!!  She slept most of the way, which was great, but she got so heavy!  I wish I would have had a seat for her, she probably would have slept the whole way!

I have heard Delta is good with kids, we flew Spirit and the crew was awesome with Morgan.  They even gave her a free bag of chips on our way home.

Then really any airline should be friendly towards you and your daughter. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be. We've taken dd to other counties and flown countless times and FA's have been nothing but kind. If they weren't if have a big problem with it!

My only advice is that when you board the plane tell the FA that you have a ticketed seat for the car seat and ask them which seat it needs to be in. If the plane is 2 aisle 2 then it needs to be in the window seat. If there are 2 aisle 3 aisle 2 and you are in the middle 3 she will need to be in the middle. But just incase double check with the FA.

  • thanks @perfectlove09 had seen number of postings on CSFTLs about parents who paid for LO to have own seat for car seat (on domestic flights) and then get pressured/threatended with being thrown off of the flight when the flight crew are mis-informed about the seats. Anyhow, turns out we won't make the trip (the family member we were going to see is at an increased risk of infection due to medical treatments, so best not to expose her to airplane/toddler germs. Will have to see if we can Skype with the help of another relative.
