Car seat question...

Just got a new nissan pathfinder yesterday (yippie!) ... I had an Altima previously & had the car seat in the center. When I put the base in the pathfinder, it overhangs over the seat, the center seat indents a bit. Is it safer to put behind the drivers seat so the base is completely sitting on the seat?

Have you read the car's owner's manual?  Does it say anything about carseat installation in the center seat?

Check you car seat manual too. Most car seats allow up to 20% overhang.

I read through it & doesn't say anywhere specific. I tried googling it too but couldn't find anything specific for the pathfinder

We just got a new 4runner! Mostly for the comfort of the dogs & to fit the bob stroller, such a weird reason to buy a new car...
Anyway, we have our car seat behind the drivers seat with no issues.
We put it there so we could find down the middle/passenger seats so the dogs could access that back window.

Neither of my kids ever had the car seat in the middle, it's not unsafe
