May I join? **loss mentioned**

I hope it's okay that I join over here now?  I've been on 3T for over a year, while trying naturally and doing IUIs.  But with our 4th & final IUI being a BFN, we are planning on IVF in either August or September.  We are MFI & my history is in my siggy.  But to sum it up, we had a loss last year, after TTC for a year.  We took a short break, did 3 IUIs, took another break, and just did our last IUI, our 27th cycle. 

We did have our initial IVF consultation with the RE a little while ago, and received all our paperwork and financial information.  We are still trying to figure out all the details, like whether or not to do the AttainIVF, ICSI, etc.  And what to do with leftover embryos.  We seem to have different views on things, but we will come to an agreement. 

I'm a mixture of all emotions right now.  But since IVF is all new to me, I'd like to join in and help learn from you ladies!

17 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 5dt w/ 2 blasts, 5 frosties
Betas:  #1-156(9dp5dt), #2-1200(13dp5) #3-6112(17dp5)
Ultrasound #1 10/6: 1 bean!

    Waved to @ky29‌ ! I'm mostly over on TTCAL but nice to see you over here. This board has incredible collective knowledge about all things IVF! Ask away- I feel like IVF is an area where we all want to share our insights because we remember how incredibly overwhelming it is at the beginning. Welcome!

    37 years old, MH is 42
    TTC since 2010; Dx Unexplained Infertility; possible male factor 
    August 2012 through June 2013:  6 IUIs with clomid and trigger shot, all BFNs
    7/2013, Pregnant! Unmedicated--we were on a treatment break
    8/20/13 no heart beat; 8/23/13 d&c
    3/15/14 IVF #1:  Lupron/Follistim/Menopur; ER 3/10 resulting in four transfer grade blastocysts, transferred one pretty blast and froze the remaining three. BFN. 
    Natural FET in May cancelled because the universe hates me my hormones were not cooperating.
    6/24/14 FET #1: transferred two pretty embryos; BFN   
    8/28/14 FET #2: BFP, ended in Chemical pregnancy

    Done with medical intervention and getting used to the idea of CFNBC.

    Welcome to the board, and I'm sorry for your loss. IVF is definitely overwhelming when you start. You might want to join up with the appropriate cycling group as you get closer, as it helps to have people in the same place as you for support and questions. In the meantime, you might be interested in joining the Hanging onto a Dream group for those who are in between or preparing for cycles.

    As for what to do with any leftover embryos, you might want to table that discussion, as lots of ladies never have to face that decision. We're very much hoping to donate ours when we're done. There are very long waiting lists for donor embryos.

FET #1 PUPO as of 7/29 Betas: 8/7@24, 8/9@97, 8/11@334 (etc.) Two sacs on 8/15, one seen on 8/18 after a bleed. U/s 8/25 (6+3) "perfect": 5.9 mm + HB@120bpm! U/s 9/4 (7+6): 15.9 mm + HB@172 bpm! Please, PLEASE stick this time!!!!

    Welcome! I'm sorry about your loss and that you find yourself here, but hopefully your stay is short! You may want to join the hanging onto a dream checkin until your cycle month start checkin starts- it's ladies waiting I cycle/in between cycles :). Feel free to ask away- I just moved over a couple months ago, and the ladies have been great!

    Hello!  Sorry you find yourself here, though.  Yes, even with the things I learned on 3T and lurking here, it is all overwhelming!  


    Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!

    Welcome, though I'm sorry you had to come over.  I was very overwhelmed when we initially made the choice to move to IVF.  Everything has worked itself out though, and now I should be stimming in less than a week.  It definitely is a whole different process.  When had been talking about moving to IVF since January, and I thought "ok, no biggie, it will be just like my IUI cycle but with BCPs first, more Gonal-F and then ER and ET instead of IUI".  I was partially correct...and very naive :)

    Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
