Hcg level at 6 weeks

I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant, I had a blood test yesterday to check the hcg level, and it is 133,000. Is this normal? My doctor asked me to have an ultrasound as she doubted that I might be having a wrong LMP and it could be at least 7 weeks or longer. I am pretty sure my record of my last period is correct as I mark it every month on my calendar. I don't want the ultrasound now especially the transvaginal one. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago (at around 8 weeks), I had two times transvaginal ultrasound and I highly doubted that it had sort of connection to the miscarriage even though everyone told me the ultrasound is safe. There maybe some complications but I am really worried about doing the ultrasound that earlier. What can I do? Thanks.

I'm not understanding exactly what you are saying about the ultrasound - are you worried it will cause complications with your pregnancy this early on?

I have a history of early mc and I've had 4 transvag u/s with this pregnancy so far.... And I am 6w4d. (I had bleeding and suspected ectopic). You will be fine as this does not correlate at all to miscarriage. I did have an abdominal u/s by my Peri after a transvag at my last visit on Thursday and they were able to see both my babies with heartbeats.... Your levels are high and you very well may not require an internal at all at this point.

As far as betas- they range so much it's almost obnoxious. I would to be concerned unless your doctor is. But, I say get the u/s!

That does seem pretty high for that stage of pregnancy, but as PP said there's a pretty wide range of normal. 

 Also, there is no identified risk associated with a transvaginal ultrasound, so it's not something you should be wary of. I understand associating it with your prior loss--I've been through the same thing so I completely understand. Remember that there is nothing you can do to jinx your pregnancy, and if your doctor is recommending an ultrasound, it's likely for a good reason.

Based on my LMP I am around 5-6wks and my betas yesterday were 8,149. But as others have stated it really varies.

I have had several transvaginal ultrasounds (high risk) with prior pregnancies and I've never had an issue. GL!

Your U/S won't cause a miscarriage, and it's the only real way to date your pregnancy.

That being said, the choice is yours

As I said at levels as high as yours, I would be shocked if you had to use transvaginal at all.
