I'm getting excited for our 4th of July trip to my family's cabin. I'm planning to pack Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, and pinochle cards. What are your favorite board/card games? What about camping games?
I've only heard of about half of those listed :-/ My go-to card games are gin rummy and spite & malice. I played a lot of euchre when I lived in Toledo. I love most board games, but don't play them nearly often enough!
@flutterbuggie I love killer funniest. I hardly ever see anybody that knows the game. We played all the time in college.
I also love crazy cards, apples to apples, cranium, monopoly, and catchphrase. I love board/card games.
Ha yeah, it has actually gotten a little out of hand now, my DH just had to have all the expansion packs. Little burnt out on it now to be honest but it's still a great game!
We have all the expansions including kinder bunnies.
I love settlers and Dixit for board games. When friends/family get together we also play MisMatch and The Family Game, which is also called Occupation. I was trying to google instructions in case you haven't heard of these, since they aren't board games (they just need pens and paper), but couldn't find anything easily. So if you want to know how to play them just let me know. I also love 4 on a Couch but that requires at least 12 people.
Oh! And we also add consequences to games for fun. Like with phase 10, if you don't complete a phase in your turn you have to go in the lake, first to your ankles, then knees, etc. You can probably adapt lots of games you'll play for where you are.
@flutterbuggie (did that go clicky??) Can you explain Killer Bunnies? DH and I have a small group of friends that we get together with every couple of months for game night and we're getting tired of Cards Against Humanity (although mighty hilarious).
Another favorite is Pictionary, although I have a hard time finding people who want to play
My favorite board game is Monopoly. I was so obsessed with it as a child that I would play it by myself, acting as several players at once, since everyone else in my family thought the game took way too long and didn't want to play with me that frequently. I still love it, I have a Spongebob version these days
I love most board/card games mentioned above - but we are more a video game playing family. I'll take Mario Kart any day . But my favorite on the table game with my parents is dominoes, specifically - Chicken Foot. Pretty simply but it can last over an hour and it's a game of luck and skill and overall just plain fun.
Racko is so easy and fun. SD is getting pretty good at it too. We always take it to gun bashes and cash bashes to pass the time while we wait to win stuff.

I've only played Nertz once, but it was fun. The only problem is that each players needs their own unique deck of cards. Walmart has Tinkerbell and spongebob, so it's not too hard to get enough, but it is if you have a lot of people. You also need a big table.
I want to try CAH so bad!!! H doesn't, plus we're two people. We play Scrabble. We tried Clue, but with two people, it just doesn't work. Monopoly is ehh. I did get Marvel Chutes and Ladders for my birthday last year, it's pretty awesome.
My Grandma has the tile Rummikub game, and it's one her favorites.
Edit: typing
I completely forgot about Egyptian Rat Screw (aren't you polite ). May have to resurrect that over the weekend!
We do a monthly couples game night in my neighborhood - a fun game for adults (need a good male/female mix) is Battle of the Sexes - it's a board game with trivia. We've played it a few times now, it's absolutely hilarious to hear the men, in particular, talking-out the potential correct answers to some of the questions.
Also, puzzles are always great. My Granny had a puzzle table at her camp, and there was always a puzzle there for people to work on throughout the day.
