Has anyone experience EWCM after they thought they ovulated? I had cramps on CD15 so I thought I was ovulating, but now on CD17 I am having EWCM. Does this mean I havent ovulated yet?
I only use CM as a guide for when I might be getting close to O. I find it's more predictable the first half of the cycle. During LP it is all over the place (not literally...of course).

I have gotten EWCM three times this cycle. Thanks to temping, I know that I have not yet ovulated despite all the deceptive signs. I'm in my first month off BCP so my stuff has geared up to O without actually doing it, including ovulation pain.
If you haven't looked into bbt temping, I'd encourage you to do so. If I wasn't temping I'd be going crazy by now with all the secondary O signs I've had...
I never get it post-O. My cm totally changes texture and is never of the fertile variety post O. I'm generally not a huge EWCM producer short of very wet cm until this cycle. I had 4 days of EWCM prior to O. The only things I can attribute it to is a dramatic increase in drinking of water and taking an Omega 3 diligently.
Last cycle I had ewcm during 2ww as well. Research shows it can be 2 things: a re-try at O if your body failed earlier in the cycle, or a secondary surge of estrogen (which can happen regardless of pregnancy or AF). I know for me it wasn't a re-try, as I started taking opks again & all neg. But as they all say, temping is only thing that confirms if you O at all.

No. EWCM in the 2WW is not your body "retrying to O." If you're in the 2WW (aka lutenal phase), then you have already ovulated. EWCM can occur before and after ovulation and it's due to a rise in estrogen. After you ovulate, your estrogen and progesterone levels increase to help thicken the lining of your uterus in preparation for implantation.

Well the ewcm showing a possible O re-try was just part of research I found. There's a million things on the internet that are incorrect, so maybe I'm just reading false info. But is the 2nd thing I said atleast correct - ewcm being part of a secondary estrogen surge? I found a handful of different sources saying that...

Yes, EWCM occurs after an estrogen surge. It can happen multiple times throughout your cycle.
My EWCM tends to skip my fertile week. I'm lucky if I get watery CM in that time frame. Then I'll get it a few days before my next cycle. It is so incredibly annoying.
