I became anemic after blood loss during delivery. I was told to continue my prenatal vitamins, take iron daily and to eat a diet high in iron. I have also been struggling with PPD and now have been reading that there is a connection between anemia and depression and anemia can actually be causing all if my symptoms. I am working so hard to get my iron and hopefully over time I will no longer be anemic and my depression and anxiety will be gone. Just wanted to bring this to other people's attention so that you can have bloodwork done and keep an eye on your health. Anemia is a serious thing whether it's linked to depression or not.
