GBS with new cerclage

Hello everyone. I use to be an active participant back when I was pregnant with my DD. Our preventative cerclage got us to 38 weeks.
Anyways, new pregnancy=new fears and complications. I had a cerclage placed again a week ago last Monday. I am 11 days post surgery. I just found out today that I have a UTI caused by GBS. I know that the urinary tract and the vaginal tract are different, but it is also my understanding that if it is colonized in your urine then it is probably elsewhere. My concern is if this was an active infection could it cause problems since I just recently had a cerclage? I have a call into my MFM to answer this question, but I thought I would ask here if anyone has experience. I was not treated with prophylactic antibiotics even though I am known GBS+. This sucks. I really hope this does not cause problems n my uterus and placenta. Ugh.
