??? Swollen kidneys?

I just had my 20wk ultrasound,and they called a day later to set up a follow up ultrasound to check on placenta placement-I guess it's low and they are concerned it may be covering my cervix....and they also said the baby's kidneys look swollen which is really more my concern....what can that mean?.or be caused from??...anyone else have this problem???

    No experience but hopefully its all just precautionary, they monitor pregnancies so closely!  Sending T&P's, keep us posted.

    Did you have a chance to ask your Doctor or the Perinatologist about the kidneys or you were only able to speak with the ultrasound tech? I would call my doctor directly and ask what that means and what would cause that - you definitely deserve an answer. Thinking of you!
