Thoughts?

 Just wanted to get your thoughts on this concept and dedication. I have never seen this before. 

Today on facebook a pregnant women's status reads:

"I truly do cherish this pregnancy and dedicate it to all of you who want babies but can't conceive"

It sounds so pretentious! I get she was trying to come from a good place, but it rubs me the wrong way.

When going through IF with DD that would have made me ultra ragey. Now it still makes me ragey. Not helpful.

Ugh. I have friends who would say things like this when they had never been through IF. I know when people say those things they mean well, but anyone who has ever dealt with if would never say anything like that. People suffering through IF don't want a pregnancy dedicated towards them. If you want to show support, then go to the Resolve website and see if there is anything you can do.

BTW- didn't want to cloud this group's judgement, but it is the same women who wrote on my wall the other day about deciding to go natural when I announced my C-section.

I agree with some of the others, I feel like she was "trying" to be nice and it came off way way wrong. It's something I would never post and I think it's kind of tacky for her to say.

It took me 3 years to get pregnant after trying every fertility treatment you could think of. That pisses me off.

She goes to my church, but I have never "hung out" with her. I feel like I can't say anything because I already ripped her one when she said the following:

Yeah that sent me over the top. I said:
1. Maybe HR shouldn't be talking about this on facebook
2. Maybe that is all the food she has to feed her family and really needs it back since she has no more income
3. And you may want to be a little more sensitive about the GD issues since you never know who is struggling with it--healthy eaters included!!

So I felt like I publicly shamed her after that post and don't want to be that person all the time.

I think she really could have conveyed a much nicer sentiment if she'd said it in a different way, or she could've even just said she was thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far and leave it at that. I think most people with normal filters and common sense wouldn't post something like that.

Uhh. I totally side eyed the first part. Some people are just dumb so I thought, whatever. After reading the second part, my opinion has changed. My thoughts? She's an asshole. I can not believe no one has said anything.

I think it's safe to say we ALL give you the ok to be that person!
